It's not that hard to implement the cycle - just a matter of whether or not the team is willing to take our perspectives into account and make that happen.
Once the cycle begins, we can start gauging player interest and how each map handles the player-base.
The wonderful thing about V5P and the separation of spaces and groups may benefit us optimization wise considering Rockford forces ClanRP builds to really be placed in focal points with high traffic and many users complain about FPS drops near extremely large builds from admin-clans. V5P allows a larger diversity in the location building placement and thus I believe it will really benefit us FPS wise - that being said the only way to test is to make it happen and find out.

Regardless of which map is preferred, there needs to be a map cycle.
Being stuck one on one map is not only neglecting towards a demographic of this community but it leaves us with stale and recycled RP ideas.

The same thing will happen if we do a map cycle. It will just be...well..a cycle of RP ideas being used over and over again.
I don’t understand why you have to argue with everything I say. I understand your opinion, and I think you understand mine. So please, allow me to have my opinion without having to be questioned every time I say something. This is a suggestion after all, not a discussion. I don’t agree with the suggestion and I’ve already stated that. Now I see we are getting off topic from the original topic.
So, I will again say -Support to the original suggestion.

Its not a very good opinion if its not open to fair interpretation, argument and discussion.

It is once there has ben enough argument to dieter any good discussion and it turns into two sides barking at a wall.
If you want an unbiased way to choose the map, random.org
Not to piggy back on your post, but since we're discussing maps and it would be stupid to start a completely different thread...
Has anyone checked out rp_Florida? While there are literal signs saying that it's a Miami based map (mostly in the police dept. from what I saw), it's not something that can't be covered up with a static'd prop (assuming we don't want to say we're in Miami). There's literally tons of buildings that can be used for RP. Not just the basic buildings you would expect, but also a beach with a (technically) rideable Ferris wheel, a casino, a night club, a skateboard park/basketball courts, and a movie theater. Plenty of housing, including a little set up behind some buildings one could use for some homeless RP (and hopefully not wasted on an NPC of some kind).
The only issue I could find was not being able to figure out how to close the cell doors in the prison, but that could have just been my game being a jerk and not letting me close doors because I had issues with other ones as well. Also most of the stores already have names above them but again, that can probably be taken care of with our own signs/props. Really my only real 'gripe' is that the buildings on the boardwalk aren't useable. But then again I've never had to find maps for a cityRP server before, so I'm not really sure what all would need to be found so maybe it's not as good of a choice as I think it is. But personally I think this one should be looked at as a candidate.
For those who love government RP especially, this map is pretty great. The hospital has everything it should, the firehouse has the garage with lockers and an area where you could RP fixing engines, a barracks of sorts. The police station is huge and has tons of potential, especially for detectiveRP/ongoing investigations if that were ever to be a thing.

We're not discussing maps, we're discussing the second most desired community map from the initial vote which would be EvoCIty V5P.
V5P is a map that we know has a large portion of the community backing it and this discussion isn't revolving around just bringing in
a map other than Rockford.
On the topic of that map that you posted, I personally see it as being too flat looking, cartoonish and it looks like it lacks the necessary RP Zones that I personally would like to see in a CityRP map. (Slum-looking areas, proper environment [forested areas, ravines, places to hide], industrial area that doesn't look nice, etc)

I understand this was specifically for v5p, but felt it wasn't necessary to open up a completely different thread considering there's been about 5 of them since this one was originally posted. So I just thought I would tack it on here instead. No big deal, I'll certainly remove it if it becomes an issue.
Due to a high level of community support, this suggestion has been moved to the Popular section.
ummm.... Ill say -support as I tryed playing on v5p in singleplayer and it was... laggy. Yes the map looks 2 time better (in some places) then rockford, but if there was lag in singleplayer it will be 2 times worse while playing on the server...

That lag is only on your computer. I generally don't lag on either map in singleplayer especially.

It doesn't matter about an old laptop, my old computer was like 5 years old and evocity ran fine on singleplayer, it may just be your internet.
