I don't accept apologies from people.
The word hypocrisy comes to mind in this situation, you disrespect another user and then want action when someone disrespects you. Well consider this a verbal warning to both of you not to break forum rules this is the discussion thread not the insult thread.

Anything further will result in warnings.

Again as Barkles said, let's not continue this any further.

What would help roleplay in my opinion would be

- Food intake could be revised, you eat 1 fish and you're set for the rest of the hour.

- A light tool. 90% of the buildings are poorly lit, a topic to discuss for other day, but to me lighting is a big issue.

Honestly, I think just making it so you can't carry a fuckton of fish on your back would add so much to the gamemode. Police could starve hostage takers and people would actually visit chefs.
Light likely isn't going to happen just because source is source and lighting is not optimized in the game

(Sep 16, 2017, 03:00 PM)MrBonbon Wrote: [ -> ]- The weapons on back feature could be removed, since this came out EVERYONE has stopped carrying rifles, smgs. Although realistic, I think this belongs in SeriousRP, not SemiSerious.

- A new way to earn money as a civilian, chopping wood is too easy and takes little to no roleplay involved. Personally I think this should be removed entirely.

I think weapons on back is a good thing. I personally hate it when everyone is carrying a big ass gun in the city, it makes small gangs seem like paramilitary.

I agree about money though: woodcutting is too easy and it is too antisocial. No one is RPing while woodcutting, it's just steroid spam and waiting for your inventory to fill up.

(Sep 20, 2017, 04:33 AM)Vauld Wrote: [ -> ]- A cool-ass custom map with public transportation, a more close feel for better roleplay, maybe a harbor or something dope.
- An optimized server with 100 people all running around roleplaying

The problem with a custom map is that they take a while to make and a decent amount of expertise (you need to have a 64bit VRAD to even compile Rockford). Same goes for optimization, it's like trying to refactor a hamburger out of shit someone left in the toilet because the gamemode code is so old and written by so many authors.

About the gamemode, it is known and discussed that it is very badly optimised. If we are to wipe the system/code and recreate it to a more organised and optimised version it could take weeks upon months to do due to the systems provided. Sure it would be good however it would have to be something in the long term to do rather than anything instantyl.
Making a new gamemode would take upwards of a year to get it in the state it's in now (unless they used a serious gamemode base like NutScript).

I honestly think LL should consider investing in making an F2P standalone RP game. They can monetize with cosmetics (kinda like how they do now).

People complain about the optimization of maps and the like but there's a limit to how optimized an open-world map can be in Source with a skybox that isn't 20 ft tall just by nature of VVIS being designed for small linear levels

yes good idea. F2P but not pay to win.
i dont think we have the development power to make a standalone game nor the expertice.

Back on topic please

I'm no expert on the dev's capabilities but if they know C# or C++ they can use unity or unreal. there are tons of free game engines and tons of tutorials. they could figure it out definitely.
