How would it effect trade? Being in the EU Prohibits us from signing new trade deals with countrys such as Australia, China, India, Leaving would open a new world of opportunity. Also it would benefit us as our borders would be in our control

If the referendum passed, it's not legally binding. Your gov can just ignore it if they want. It would take at least two years to leave even if the gov decides to follow up, a timer that can be extended if needed by the EU AND Britain.

Is this supposed to be a simple majority or a 2/3 majority vote like we have in congress most of the time?

On topic: This is just bad for economy of GB, pound has been dropping.

Time will tell if this was right or not.
