The United Nations (UN) is an intergovernmental organization established 24 October 1945, to promote international co-operation.
For the next upcoming conference, Evocity has once again been called upon to host this global meeting, following the success of previous events.

Not only this, but Evocity still holds the title of a multi-national city, thus making it equal territory for all delegates.

The Date
The General Assembly (GA) will be held on the 16th October 2015.
Various meetings and conferences coordinated by member parties focusing on particular topics will be held over the weekend.

The times for the GA are as follows:
10:00am, EST
3:00pm, GMT/UTC
11:00pm, UTC+8
1:00am, UTC+10

Attending Delegations
There will be as many delegations as possible in the UN. You may apply for a country in which you are not from, so long as you know that country's morals, governmental system, beliefs, religion, etc.

Fictitious countries made for the NationsRP may also be present.

(There are currently around 193 states who hold a place in the UN. Due to this large number, the countries included in this event have been culled. Please send me a pm if there is another country you would like to add.)

Security Council (5/5 slots free)  - Peacekeepers. Their focus is on the security of the world, but starting with Evocity.


General Assembly President - The president will be a citizen of Evocity. Their job is to announce the topic of the GA, and to pass on to the resoultion. -[L²] Safira

It is strongly recommended that for this roleplay, you have a microphone. The UN is to an extent extreme debating, and the overall effect of mics would be far better than using '/y'.
You are also reminded you do not have to be a resident of that country to apply for delegation.
As long as you can accurately represent the country's views and values, you may choose any country you like.

Remember:

As a delegate, you never refer to anyone in the first person, including yourself. For example, to ask the speaker (who is the delegate of USA) to clarify what they mean by 'world domination via McDonald's', the way they'd ask is: "The delegate of example would like to ask the delegate of the USA to clarify what is meant by 'world domination via McDonald's?"
Points of information must be in the form of a question to the speaker
You must speak the views of the country you are the delegate of, no matter what your personal views are. This also means that your alliances are with those of similar interests (i.e. Saudi Arabia will most likely form alliance with countries such as Qatar, whilst the likelihood of the USA supporting North Korea is nil.)


Please also take the time to build a small replica of your country's flag. (less than 1 full PHX square)
This shouldn't be too difficult with Sprops, and is the only dupe you will need to place in the event.

Resume: I was born in the year 1985 in Germany .
I lived in a small village in bavaria . When i was  9 years old we moved to stuttgart.
After i finished Secondary school with a graduation with mark 2,2 i applicated at the Police for a Job , i was accepted . After a 3 year training , i was a full Police Officer , i was then 19 years old. After a few Years , when i was 25 i got the offer to go to a more riscfull team , not SEK but we had heavy Firearms , we did not really patrol but we respond to stuff which was too low for SEK and to high for the normal officers.
Currently i still life in Germany .

On May 20, 1992, I was named titular bishop of Auca and auxiliary of Buenos Aires, I was ordained a week later. In February 1998, I became archbishop of Buenos Aires. Three years later, in February 2001, I was elevated to cardinal by Pope John Paul II, named the cardinal-priest of Saint Robert Bellarmino. In 2005, I was named president of the Bishops' Conference of Argentina, serving in that position until 2011.

On March 13, 2013, I was named the 266th pope of the Roman Catholic Church, becoming the first citizen from the Americas, the first non-European and first Jesuit priest to be named pope, and adopting the name Pope Francis. I had served a total of 12 years as cardinal and archbishop.

People see me as a spiritual and world leader, even nominating me for a Nobel Peace Prize. I'm also known to be an environmental activist.
