Good Bye LimeLightGaming!
A fellow follower of the migration from FL to LL!

[NOTE: This is GoodBye from the Servers not from the forums]

Now I know I am not very active on the servers but that is due to personal matters (and the fact I went on a short break recently). However, I do come on to the forums and just browse around and generally see what is happening, etc.

Recently I went on a short break and obviously had little to no internet connection as the hotel provided us with less than a 256kb/s connection, but anyway that meant I would not browse on the forums and would have no hope of connecting to the servers.

Lets cut to the chase:

I come back from my short break to find that relationships have come crashing down and have pretty much ended up in a shambles, a so called "war" is declared by SoulRipper on LL and to me seems very childish. I do respect that LL is taking this matter seriously but just looks very childish and competitive and seems that senior people of the forums are 'throwing their teddy in the corner'. Seriously guys if SoulRipper is talking and acting like this I say just leave it (personally I would have just gave him the middle finger and left it at that). You should have moved on. LL has been up and active for a good period of time and still there is alot of childish behaviour.

I see that LL and FL cannot call a truce and get on with life.

Anyway I want to leave LL for an extended period of time and just basically prepare for my A2 year of education and that this is not a permenant goodbye but more of a message to the admins of LL and FL with the 'stop fighting in the ball pit' scenario with FL as it is absolutly rediculous and childish behaviour which unexceptable considering most of you are 'adults' which means you are a rolemodel to younger users of LL and possibly even have an influence on the younger users of FL. They don't need to see you arguing with rivals and causing friction which many younger people may not understand and confuse them with stuff they do not need to know about.

Maybe there are other people on these forums that share the same opinion about the situation between LL and FL and maybe there are not but my view still stands valid.

At the end of the day this is a nice and mostly friendly community but with boundries that stretch a bit too far for a Garry's Mod server.

So I leave you with one question:
Do you want the younger players of LL to see adults fight?

You say its "fighting in a ball pit behavior" but I guess that's sadly just the little bit of it you see. There is so much more behind the scenes that is being handled really well and professionally. Some people have spoke out and maybe done it in childish ways but trust me, we are handling the more professionally then you know, plus this is social media, the internet there is always going to be childish back and forth masking real work and progress. Trust me by believing our approach is childish what with posting warnings to our community and such, you are just falling into what people from another community have made you believe. We only make public posts so you are not left in the dark. The only reason it has gone this far is because we aren't just protecting some business, we are protecting a community that deserves to know the truth and not be constantly lied to and abused.
If you can't handle me at my plorp, you don't serve me at my blorp.

@Rolorox, You have just contridicted yourself here. As here you say:

"There is so much more behind the scenes that is being handled really well and professionally"

and then you say:

"We only make public posts so you are not left in the dark"

Are we being left in dark or only seeing stuff that staff want to post, like a democracy or Government firewall?

It is alright giving us snippets of information like what is happening but this infact only makes things worse as then non of us normal users have the full story which again will confuse alot of people and tbh me aswell. I know you are protecting a community but this is having a knock-on effect on this community. Why do you think people left FL in the first place? My answer to this would be that I don't want to hear about FL and how (excuse my language) sh*t has hit the fan. Other people may have different answers but I am sure some players share this same view as I do.

Let me put this in another perspective:

Ok so Facebook has this feature were stuff recommended to you and stuff that friends want to share show up etc etc.
Now you see that one person who always posts snapchats of him and his girlfriend and then spam the hell out of emoticons until your facebook crashes and then causes a mess. Eventually it gets annoying and people do not want to see it anymore so they either stop posting these pictures or you simply unfriend them.

This can relate to LL. Either we get too many snippets in some sort of order try to piece them together. We then have a rough idea but then more information is added but we already know us and then it just continues in one big loop. Eventually like the facebooks pictures it starts to get annoying. On this website it leaves me with eventually only one option. To leave. This is because there is no stopping the posts or snippets of information being released out which is only adds to the loop or could all together shatter what we already know. The reason why I am leaving is becaused I am waiting for the eventual stop of these snippets information, This again relates to Facebook: The pictures posted eventually start to decrease until they just stop or when something major happens (like a split up).

I related this to Facebook as that is the best way for me to explain what I think is going on.

I am also currently in this loop of information until again something might shatter it.

Trust me, we would love to be able to tell you everything, why wouldn't we? It would only help us and gain the communities trust more. But sometime that's not an option, not only for our own security but for the security of our members. There are a lot of mean, "internet warriors" that thanks to the internet are able to harm people both online and possibly in real life. Trust that if we keep any specific details from the public it is for everyone's best interest. Most communities won't tell you anything when it comes to internal matters, we at least try to be open and transparent when we can. I am sorry that you feel such a way but we are trying. We have nothing to gain from lying or holding out on our community. But you never know what you might lose when dealing with some online "fighter" type people who can't be reasoned with. We deal with lots of threats and people dosing us. We can handle most of it but obviously some people do this shit for little to no reason. Or just because someone else told them/paid them too. It's obviously just a game, but clearly everyone agrees this community means more than that. We don't want petty fights and disagreements to ruin such a great community. I hope you come back some day, maybe when all the bullshit passes over.

You're given information if it benefits you or directly impacts you and the community. Of course we can't tell you everything as some topics are either too sensitive and could hinder public relations or compromise personal security as Rolorox has previously stated.

Security is and always will be paramount in everything we do and unfortunately because of that, not everything can be made public.
