If this was put as a priority since march 29th, why is it still on hold?

+ Support.

My Sex Clinic appears to have gathered some kind of STD for these shaders, that causes a lot of my sex-deprived customers to have epileptic fits on the floor.

Shaders strike again. (That's all the same material & colour.)

So, when you guys say you want the shaders removed, are you talking literally completely disabled so props are the not affected by lighting?

What I had more in mind was adding a tool in which you could enable or disable it, if that's even possible.

One could say this may look bad, but it will certainly not look as bad as multi shaded materials in the same build.

I have a rough method for removing the "shading" but it'll look out of place if you dont apply it to all props. Like the problem is in the engines lighting itself, I can disable it for certain props but they'll have a lack of depth.

edit: I mean I guess if you apply it to a set of props like a staircase it might fit better.. not sure though, curious what you guys think more than anything

I mean anything will help. People will apply it to their own props if it doesn't look right too.

Any chance of a preview of a prop with a 'lack of depth'? The only shader proof materials at the moment are the 'white ones' which one needs to colours, which also suffer from the same issue to some extent. (although the material itself is a plane colour, so perhaps those which have a bit more composition in them will look better.

I mean it can't look any worse than randomly black props at the moment.

Same prop, left one is disabled, right is normal.

okay i see the issue there. Don't suppose it could be tried on a PHX plate prop (most commonly used) with a more common material?

And although you said you can disable it, is there any way to give it a slight effect? (E.G not effected by map shaders enough to go black, but enough to give it depth of field? (Perhaps a tool could be made with a sliding scale, if possible?)

Rule Britannia and that.
