Now, they were back. It started small. A botched arms deal in the industrial district—shut down overnight, the perpetrators left bound and unconscious. A high-profile executive, previously thought untouchable, found his hidden accounts emptied and his hired guns dismantled. The only clue? A familiar insignia, sprayed onto a wall like a signature. Leading them was a man who had spent the lost years in the shadows, watching, waiting. Gathering those who still believed.
Their mission was no longer just about contracts or paychecks—it was about reclaiming what was taken from them. Their return sent shockwaves through the city. Rival factions scrambled, corrupt officials tightened their grip, and whispers of something much bigger began to surface. Their last mission had nearly destroyed them, but now, as they closed in on the heart of EvoCity’s rot, one thing became clear.
They weren’t here to be hired. They were here to finish what they started.

The History of Emberguard Black Corps (EBC)
Founded in the early 2000s, Emberguard Black Corps (EBC) began as a high-tier private security firm specializing in corporate protection, VIP security, and high-risk asset recovery. Initially operating under the name Estleback Corporation, the group was known for its precision, discretion, and ability to handle threats that traditional law enforcement couldn’t—or wouldn’t—touch.
The Golden Era
For over a decade, Estleback Corporation thrived in EvoCity, securing major contracts with government officials, tech moguls, and private clients who needed more than just bodyguards. They were an elite force, built on military precision and corporate efficiency. Their operatives were ex-special forces, intelligence officers, and top-tier security specialists.
But their rise to power wasn’t without enemies. Criminal syndicates saw them as a threat to their operations, and corrupt officials feared their growing influence.
The Fall
Everything changed five years ago. A mission known only as Operation Scorched Veil went horribly wrong. Details remain classified, but rumors suggest an ambush, a high-value client betrayal, and an internal mole that led to the deaths of key operatives. Their headquarters was raided, their funding was cut, and Estleback Corporation was forced into the shadows.
With their name tarnished and their remaining forces scattered, the company ceased operations. EvoCity moved on, and Estleback became nothing more than a cautionary tale.
The Return as Emberguard Black Corps
But embers don’t die—they wait.
Years later, the surviving core members regrouped under a new identity: Emberguard Black Corps (EBC). They rebuilt, smarter and stronger, operating off-grid and recruiting only the best. They no longer served just the highest bidder—they chose their own battles.
Now, as EvoCity spirals into chaos with corporate warfare, organized crime, and corruption at its peak, EBC has returned. Their mission is no longer just business—it’s personal.
This time, they aren’t just protecting clients.
They’re protecting the city.

The Governance
The Governance includes all 'senior positions' in the corporation. Their roles are usually more involved than a regular member, and are responsible for implementing the director's vision.
Director (Rocky Shmicki Larry) :
Provides direction to the clan, and helps in the implementation of their vision. The director's central role is supporting organizational cohesion, managing clan relations, and seeking out ways to improve the organization.
Deputy Director:
The deputy director runs the company in the director's absence, and is the director's 'right hand'. They are the 'head advisor', but take a more active role in the organization by assisting the director, looking at ways of improving the clan structure, and working with other members of the governance to implement them.
Director of Management [DOM]:
Responsible for managing players. Carries out tasks such as leading recruitment initiatives, interviewing for senior positions, managing in-clan conflict, and booking security events with clients.
Director of Development [DOD]:
Responsible for developing the clan, such as coming up with and developing new initiatives, and running them. For example, the Estleback political party, transportation, or other events.
Chief Field Operative [CFO]:
As a member of the governance, they are responsible for leading the field division. They deal with creating and teaching new security tactics to members, leading the planning and implementation of security details, and taking charge during firearm contact.
Advisor:
A well-experience previous member of the clan, usually ex-governance. Responsible for advising current governance on current affairs, along with providing general wisdom toward the direction of the clan.
Emberguard Black Corps Field Division
When you show interest in joining the company, you will be made an 'associate', and invited to attend meetings like our members so we can assess if you would be a good fit for the clan.
Emberguard Black Crops Operatives are expected to work in different areas to accomplish our goals of prosperity.
Whilst we focus on peace, this sometimes requires some "peacekeeping intervention".
After you are deemed a good fit, you are part of the organization, and become a Field Operative. Here, if you want to, you will be given a choice to join a specialization route of your choosing, where you will work with a member of the governance to reach certain objectives.
