Golden towers pierce the sky, their surfaces reflecting the glow of progress. Neon-lit streets pulse with the rhythm of a society that believes it has achieved perfection. From the gilded elite to the slum-dwellers scraping by in the Outer Districts, every person has a role to play—or so the system claims.

Beneath the surface, tensions simmer.

Does the system truly serve the people, or do the people serve the system?

CLASSES OF VIRIDIAN CITY

The Venerated (The Elite, The Untouchable)

The highest tier of society—corporate magnates, high-ranking officials, entertainment moguls, and those chosen by the Golden Core to exist in the city's golden halls. They live above the clouds, untouched by the struggles of the lower classes. Their homes are gilded sanctuaries, where AI-driven luxury caters to their every whim. To be Venerated is to be more than wealthy—it is to be above consequence, shaping Viridian’s future from the comfort of an ivory tower.

Yet, even among them, power is never guaranteed. The higher one climbs, the farther they can fall.

The Valiants (The Law, The Enforcers)

The shield and sword of Viridian City. Clad in dark uniforms, reinforced with cybernetics or AI-linked combat systems, they are the enforcers of the Core’s will. Some patrol the gilded districts, ensuring the safety of the elite. Others stand at the city’s borders, keeping the slums from creeping too close to the heart of civilization.

Loyalty is everything. Some serve out of duty, upholding a law they believe in. Others see it as an opportunity—power at the cost of servitude. The badge is both a symbol of authority and a shackle to the system.

The Virtuous (The Workforce, The Builders)

The lifeblood of the city. Scientists, engineers, corporate employees, technicians, and traders—those who make Viridian function. They are neither rich nor poor, existing in a delicate balance between comfort and uncertainty.

The Golden Core tracks their productivity, adjusting their status based on efficiency. A successful project or innovation may grant access to higher tiers of society, while a single mistake can result in reassignment or even exile to the Outer Districts. They work, they survive, and they hope that the system does not turn against them.

The Vagrants (The Exiled, The Forgotten)

The ones who no longer exist. Whether through crime, disobedience, or simple misfortune, these are the people who have fallen off the Golden Core’s registry. Some were once Virtuous, stripped of their standing by an unseen algorithm. Others were born into the slums, living in a world where the neon glow of the city is a distant dream.

They survive on the outskirts, where AI surveillance is weaker, where black markets thrive, and where the law does not reach. Many will do anything to reclaim a life within Viridian. Others have given up on the city entirely and would rather see it burn.

DAILY LIFE IN VIRIDIAN CITY

Life in Viridian is sleek, efficient, and—on the surface—perfect. Every citizen has a Citizen Score that dictates their access to housing, jobs, and even food rations. Surveillance drones drift through the streets, ensuring order is maintained. AI-run corporations dominate the economy, their algorithms dictating the fate of millions with a single recalibration.

Crime exists, but it is invisible to those who matter. The rich wage war in corporate boardrooms, assassinations carried out not with bullets, but with contract loopholes and market crashes. In the Outer Districts, power struggles are fought in the shadows, with stolen tech, black-market goods, and blood.

Despite its gleaming exterior, Viridian is a city of shifting sands. Loyalty can be rewarded or erased. Wealth can be secured or stolen. A life of comfort can vanish overnight with a single wrong move.

For now, the system holds.
For now, Viridian thrives.
But nothing lasts forever.
