Explain your suggestion, in detail:
Implement this suggestion, but also add the cooking time to the "electrive stove" bar on the front, from empty to green for cooking, then from green to red for burning.

Explain why the suggestion should be implemented:
You can see the cooking bar in the UI, but I don't need to be constantly watching my food for it to not burn, I can go look at it in between doing other parts of my RP, rather than being glued to it.

As mentioned in the linked suggestion, I don't think a cooking timer is wise in the UI.
Honestly this takes away the "care" that need to be taken when cooking.
That is why I ultimately decided not to implement it (please see my statement over there) and only added the sound,
including food spoil ability (overcooking).

The argument "so I don't have to watch my stove and can do other things" is not a very strong one, mainly because when cooking something you should actually watch it or at least open the stove and watch it from time to time.

That is why I implemented the overcooking sound with increasing pitch, the more it overcooks.
The player actually can hear that the stove is overcooking more and more.

I understand that this is semi-serious but I stand by my point that making the cooking process visible will take away the thrill of carefully cooking and not just farming.

It's the same for fishing. Imagine just placing a rod at the lake, going away doing other things and coming back later to collect the fish and exp, instead of standing there and doing the actual hard work to earn fish and exp.
It's farming for fish and EXP, making the food and skill system not what it was intended for.

The only way I would support this suggestion is when a new stove (a second one) is added to the market,
which has the cooking timer visible, but earns less quality food and less exp than the electric stove.
But in the end the majority vote decides and I will of course respect that.

It's farming for fish and EXP, making the food and skill system not what it was intended for.

Collecting one set of fish and XP, after all it's not like the stove keeps going permanently.
The system was changed from a item which could be passively used, where the fault for not collecting was the loss in potential, to an item now where if you miss 2(?) sets of food, it's destroyed, you have to be watching it for like an incredibly quick burn timer.

It can't just be used in combination with other money making methods, but it becomes way more difficult to use even in regular RPs because it takes your entire focus. Even contraband and weed, our prime money making methods, only need attention at most every 5 minutes.

This also just makes sense, in reality wouldn't you be able to glance over at the stovetop to see the condition of your food? At the very least how burnt it's getting.
