Explain your suggestion, in detail:

I think a complete rework of the inventory system will help alot

will provide the means for other systems to expand

Explain why the suggestion should be implemented:

the new system which allow for meta data on items

- so some items like meth can be turned into a single items with purity as a meta

- food can have expire date (id say ingame time would be better)

- guns could keep ammo etc stored inside

- vehicles could remember states better (some of this already is but by other means)

- items could have durability

and so much more potential.

One major way that we can combat inflation is by adding actual entropy. There should come a point where lugging around a year's supply of fish becomes a burden.
