Recently two people in China were found to carry the Black Plague disease. The same one that occurred during the Renaissance era, killing millions and millions of people.

According to CNN, this is the second time this disease has been found in the region. The two patients are being treated for the disease and authorities have put in place security measures as to not further spread the disease. The disease is caused by bacteria and is transmitted through flea bites and infected animals. The plague can develop in three different forms: Bubonic plague, which  causes swollen lymph nodes, septicemic plague infects the blood and pneumonic plague infects the lungs. the two patients have been diagnosed with the pneumonic plague. This plague left untreated is obviously very lethal and is not a nice death.

From 2010-2015, more than 3,248 people were diagnosed with one of the three forms of the disease and there were 584 deaths as a result. (copyright CNN)

I personally don't understand why the media is addressing the issue now, instead of before, when the plague, first came back. You can read more about it by clicking on the following link: https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/13/health/ch...index.html

It's hyperbole and months old news. The black death isn't "3 forms" it's a trifecta of bubonic, pneumonic and septicemic plague. These people have bubonic plague, which indeed shows up rarely but is treatable with antibiotics. This is scaremongering.
