Last week, the Scottish thin blue line got a little thinner. A Scottish police officer called PC Dean Morrison was found dead last week in a burn in Tayside in mysterious circumstances, which the police have said are not thought to be suspicious.

Police are currently trying to piece together his movements to work out what happened.

As a police volunteer in Scotland, (note: I am not an officer or anything similar) the loss of one of our own is quite upsetting and I can only send my utmost condolences to the family and colleagues. RIP.

@Kvatch‍ Have some respect. A well respected Police Officer was found dead. Your comment is not appropriate.

How? reading something in a Scottish accent is inappropriate? leave off will you snowflake.

My condolences to the officer and his family.

This is clearly a sensitive thread, and questions like Kvatch's are not needed or respectful to the Officer or others that knew him. The end.

Get a grip, it was a tame comment that wasn't insensitive in the slightest.

The comment wasn't meant to be insensitive or inappropriate. This is an internet forum, not a funeral. I have great respect for those who dedicate their lives to protecting us.

If you're talking about being respectful, arguing on a thread that is about the death of a person isn't it at all.

OT: RIP to the Officer and my condolences to his family/friends.
