Last week, the Scottish thin blue line got a little thinner. A Scottish police officer called PC Dean Morrison was found dead last week in a burn in Tayside in mysterious circumstances, which the police have said are not thought to be suspicious.

Police are currently trying to piece together his movements to work out what happened.

As a police volunteer in Scotland, (note: I am not an officer or anything similar) the loss of one of our own is quite upsetting and I can only send my utmost condolences to the family and colleagues. RIP.

The comment wasn't meant to be insensitive or inappropriate. This is an internet forum, not a funeral. I have great respect for those who dedicate their lives to protecting us.

If you're talking about being respectful, arguing on a thread that is about the death of a person isn't it at all.

OT: RIP to the Officer and my condolences to his family/friends.
