I use to be completely for v5p, however after seeing how poorly it performed for another community, it is obviously a bad idea. I think most people are generally for v4b1 over v5p for this reason.

I use to be completely for v5p, however after seeing how poorly it performed for another community, it is obviously a bad idea. I think most people are generally for v4b1 over v5p for this reason.

Id perfer us go our own route and not compare how they handled their map swaps to how we could do it.

V4b1 just feels small to med in size, fairly cramped with some variety but not as much as id like with some wasted space.

V5P feels med to large, has the same kind of city area people like about V4B1, except it has all the things V4B1 has in its city and more in that same area as it uses its space much more effectively with more variety and potential things for people to do.

The one thing i can say i kind of like V4B1 more than V5P is its lake, V4B1 has a larger lake, though id take all the other things ECv5P does better over my gripe about the lake

One thing people always say ab out V5P is that its to big, we currently use rockford a map that is equal in size to V5P.

The prime difference between V5P and Rockford though is rockford makes terrible use of its available space, while V5P makes very good use of its space.

I need to quote myself from a prior discussion on this:

The prime difference is that Rockford wastes alot of its map space with wide stretches of empty nothings, while V5P makes better use of it with lots of things to encounter along the way.

Judging by how LLs players congregated on average, the city center has always been the most populated area on the map, with the outland areas beingless populated, but still in use.

V5P only feels bigger than rockford, it has more things to do in it in comparison and more variety in region types for players to play in.

The V5P city center is if anything smaller than Rockfords, but again i have to note, anyone who goes on V5P on SP and Rockford on SP can see that one makes use of its space FAR better than the other.

V5P if anything when compared side by side with rockford is smaller in terms of overall wide open playable area, and is a more condensed experience, and that is accounting for the cargo yard and suburb under the store area on the provided map. 

If we splayed all the playable regions of V5P onto this picture, it still would be nearly the same size, but still making better use of said space.

Argueing that V5P is to large for LL is tantamount to argueing that V5P has to much variety and areas for players to RP in, and that LL requires maps with less to do."



Another note I have to make is again:


Green: Areas V5p and V4B1 have in both of their city areas
Orange: Areas V5P has that V4B1 does not have

This is just in the city area but it applies to other zones.

 SgtSickness's Evocity 2 is basicly the mash up of his major Evocity maps, taking the best aspects and merging them into somthing else that is improved. 

V5P improves upon it further by fixing issues that EC2 had, one example: 

The nexus elevator area: There are 2 fully functioning elevators, it has a fully modeled elevator shaft that you can actualy gain access to and climb the maint ladders to gain access to the floors in the event the elevators are not accessable.

To be honest either V5P or V4b1 would be fine. Like, anything but rockford tbh. Both are solid maps and I think most people will be happier if either of them were in use.
