This rank request thing to use any channels seems rly inefficient. I understand why it's done, but in the long run doesn't seem too smart.

Do you have a better solution? As from what I can see, it has to be done manually. So, it's either structured or not.

Yes, have text chats available & some public lounges and then the other private rooms be for "verfied" accounts.

What if someone wants to play games with some mates who are both from LL & from elsewhere, some of which aren't gonna have forum accounts, they're gonna have to faff about and find another place for all of them to communicate instead of using a readily available discord.

Seems more efficient to have at least some channels be entirely publicly available.

EDIT: I will clarify, I ain't saying the current method is a bad idea, simply that I believe there is a better solution out there.
