Lionscrest Security has rolled up their sleeves to assist shifting a rockslide within Rockford with the help of controlled detonations and the use of a custom made plow, designed and manufactured especially for the scenario. The stone, which is estimated to weigh several thousand tones was shifted within hours, allowing for continued use of the roads before the day was done. Local government says they’re currently assessing what can be done to prevent this from happening in future, not only in this area but the entirety of the surroundings. Even local political figures came to pitch in towards the efforts of clearing the remaining debris following the majority of the clearance.

FAKE NEWS. A Hummer can't tow a boulder half that size (h1 max tow weight is 8,500lbm, that's excluding the friction of a massive boulder on asphalt). Basic inertia applies too - unless you're crashing into that thing at good speed with a vehicle that size, the boulder isn't budging. There's a reason heavy bulldozers are tracked and weigh upwards of 100,000 pounds (13 hummers). Where's the journalistic integrity?

Hello there, we applaud your investigative skills. However, your accusations are misplaced. Your estimates would be correct if you had accounted for the fact these vehicles are heavily modified and outfitted with machinery designed for such uses, however we cannot elaborate on this due to our lack of available data. Much of the landslide consisted of clay and other lighter materials which gave little resistance. Along with this, multiple vehicles were used, also controlled detonations to break the larger stones up into smaller pieces, this was perhaps not made clear in the original article, though its relevance is minimal.

You can heavily modify your vehicles all day long, a hummer is simply not big enough to move a boulder of that size. There's a point where wheels and tires are not enough and you need tracks.

You specifically say "stone" in the article, not clay. You also say "several thousand tons" which would still exceed the tow weight of the hummer. It doesn't matter how "light" a material is - a pound of feathers weighs just as much as a pound of steel just like several tons of clay weighs the same as several tons of stone. Additionally, multiple pictures in the article clearly depict one hummer trying to move an object almost the size of the vehicle.

Thank you for your timely response. If you look at the 1st, 3rd and 4th image you'd notice there are multiple vehicles in use. When "several thousand tonnes" of stone is mentioned, it is meant in total.. not at a time, that would be a ridiculous claim. The reasoning for mentioning parts of the materials consisted of materials that differ from stone is that the materials size, density and weight is not the same as you would expect from solid stone or other similar materials. However, we cannot comment and further on account of not having the appropriate data to do so, we would recommend you contact Lionscrest Public Relations or similar for further and more detailed explanations.

How is my math wrong? Do you not know what a thousand means? It's simple math: 1,000 x 1,000 = 1,000,000. If you don't want imply something is in the millions then don't say you have >1,000 of something that is already >1,000, SIR.
