So you are no longer having the issue in the first post right? You are missing the textures shown before and the weird sounds?

I still experience the black screen and invisible GUI but not as often, the sounds are evertime I join the server, even the build server. It's been driving me mad.

So, @Lord Octagon can help with the sound bug.
As for the hud going black/invisible, clear up the log file and redo the steps given by @"Nightmare" , join the server and stay on until the issue shows up, after that happens, try to indicate it somehow (ex. saying in LOOC that you screen has gone invisible, that is going to make it easier to locate when it started) after that is done, then just log out of the game and give us the log file.

Hello @Quest, allow me to help you with your sound issue. Next time you are on the server and are experiencing the aforementioned problem, open the console by pressing the associate key it is assigned to (you can see this in the options menu - the default key is `). Next, type "snd_dumpclientsounds" into the console; this will give you a full list of ongoing sounds. Copy and paste the outputted message here so we can proceed to solving the problem.

Could you please open up Task Manager, then open your "Performance" tab during your gameplay session? When you notice the issue occuring, check the Performance tab and screenshot for me?

I don't belive it is, but I will show you anyways because I do have an 3rd gen i7 so I don't think that will be an issue, I will try and get you the console log today, sorry for the slow replies.

If you guys are still missing those materials, try downloading v33x map fix packs. Those solved that issue for me.
