Take the piss all you want. You're picking the single argument that suits your narrative. You say that teachers are bad people, who shouldn't deserve any recognition. Now, if you'd like to stop and ad hominem attacks, and respond to the points I'm making, that would be grand.

In those threads that I linked, are teachers, or are teachers not, helping members of the community. I never said that they were resolved, but I did say that teachers are helping members of the community. If you'd respond to that, and not Strawman my argument, that would be grand.

Are teachers, in those threads, helping (or attempting to help) the community? In your response, perhaps try responding to me, instead of trying to bypass every point I make?

I'm not picking single arguments that support my case, it's clear that you have a set opinion on this matter with no chance of seeing what I'm trying to show you, after that Admiral thread is where my - Support stayed - Support.

Yes teachers are attempting to help but only a hand full actually gets resolved successfully, but as you can see in them threads as well normal players of the community are also trying to help, so if they are also trying to help  should we also award them the Teacher rank also?

I'm trying to have a debate with you. I'm trying to understand your viewpoint. If I change your viewpoint, that's grand, but if not, that's fine.

Your viewpoint is: One teacher did something bad, so instead of punishing that one teacher, we should deny all of them any respect.
Am I correct?

In response to you saying you're not picking single arguments, in your last response, you did. Your argument was "haha, you used the word bias so you don't have an argument #FUMUKUBias.", and in the response before that, you did, by taking one example of a negative thing, and ignoring the other 10 pages of teachers helping people.

Finally, my opinion is not set, it's just that your argument is not swaying me. I have spoken to a few people, and before that, I believed that the teachers should get recognition for work that they do. Now, I still believe that, but I also believe that the program has many issues which need to be resolved.

-EDIT- Taking to TS.

Let's try not to lead this off topic by getting angry with one another and instead let's stick to the point. We're all human, we make mistakes. The teachers involved in that thread realised that there was a mistake, and did their best to recover from it. I would of deleted the post too in order to avoid confusion.

Sure, Teachers are a helpful asset, but I fear if we add them to the Team page, players will start to see us more than just players with slightly elevated powers (hardly even powers but eh) and instead turn to us, when it might be best to turn to a staff member.

Teachers are only players that have went through the process because they'd like to help people moreso than a regular player. We're just assets to provide support.

For example, remember when Steam went down and there was around 3 maybe 4 threads asking what's going on? As I'm a Teacher, I was able to make a stickied thread under help & support explaining what had happened, what needs to happen and provided a link to a site that players can use to keep track of when the servers come back online - my point is that whilst Teachers can certainly be very helpful, it's down to the individual to decide how they use that power.

I have a small argument:

Can anybody involved in this thread tell easily who is Teacher & who is not ?
I dont think so, as you would have to go through the Teacher conluded section and see at the end if they are Approved or Declined.

There's a thread in the Teachers section, or you could try to get to know the Teacher team and who's in it yourself.

That wasn't the point @Nebula was making. He was stating how it simply looks like Donators discussing on the thread showing the side to tags again.

I do not believe this would be the case, people are turning to us for questions for two reasons, we are approachable due to not having any moderation/administrative power, if you ask around people sometimes are afraid to ask a question through @ because they think they can get in trouble, where as teachers hold no such power making it far more approachable choice for them, alongside the fact we can still give 99% accurate answers due to being able to quickly talk to a staff member and get a second opinion on a question.

The main arguments about being in the team page or about the tags are we are not doing enough or that people would start see us in a different way, something in my opinion, not true. If we were to ask a new player there is a big chance he will think we are a staff member, and one way to fix this is by implementing what @Faustie suggested a few pages back. New players will still confuse what our rank is about, but a simple clarification by us would be enough for them to understand. I know for a fact the program has issues, but now we working in identifying them and fixing them, in my opinion we may not in a state where we deserve to be in a wall, but if we fix said issues, I believe then it will be a better time to talk about it.
As for the first part, miscommunication between us has made it so we are not completing our duties as much as we could, again that is being worked on, I am sure some stuff will change for the better soon.

tl;dr
Where the teachers program does good is that us not having any power to punish a player, this makes us far more approachable than the staff team.

@"Sours" Got my point, i did not meant it like that there is not any list, however just the thread looks unproffesional in my opinion. And yes, if the Teachers would not have something Teacher Related in their Signature / Bio. Nobody would know.

Lets take stomm as this example. He has nothing Teacher related on his Profile & therefore i would not knew if he was a teacher (without looking at the thread) Its just nice to know if the Person you are talking to is a Teacher or not.

Thank you to all those who voted/participated in the discussion.

The staff team will review this thread and make the appropriate changes to the team page. Otherwise, if further input is needed, another thread will be made.
