Suggestion for <in-game/forum/teamspeak etc.>: In-game.



In detail, explain your suggestion:


Core suggestion:
Add: Fire Chief job with the same requirements and ability of the Police Sergeant (Someone needs to be able to demote and bring order to the fire/ems job)


Add: Time restriction to Paramedic and Firefighter job (Prevents people who do not know how to properly play I.e spawn a car or their way around, from holding up care, or abusing job equipment, or in the case of the firefighter leaving fire calls unanswered)


Add: Ability for Medics to drag people (Sometimes you need to pull people out of fires, from under/off cars, or out of the way of oncoming cars)

Would be nice to have:
Merge Fire and Medic job into one named Firemedic (or Firefighter, or Firefighter/Paramedic)
  
If added: it should be set up just like the fire suburban where one ambulance must be spawned before a fire engine can be and so on. Firemedics will have the ability to change uniforms faster than the 10 seconds needed for a skin change. Equipment will be selected from the locker at the fire station or hospital substation and can be resupplied from either the fire engine or ambulance.   

Add mini fire extinguishers to fire department locker (This will be the ONLY place that Medics will be able to    resupply/pick them up at.)
   
Allow Medics to don a "turnout" jacket and nomex gloves to provide care NEAR a fire while only taking half of the damage from the fire. This will be picked up from the fire station locker only.  


Pay increase for Paramedics (The chauffeur gets paid more)


Radical ideas for the heck of it:
Once the F-350 is easier to drive, paramedics are able to drag/pick people up, people can be placed in the back of the ambulance, and there is more than one paramedic revives should only be done at the hospital.


/fcad, will only work in the Ambulance, Fire engine, and suburban. This Computer Assisted Dispatch terminal will allow Medics to keep up with calls for service during peak server times by logging calls for service (/911 or /request) in the order they come in with the ability to mark them as En route, in progress, and completed. We can also take it up a notch, when a call comes into the system the Fire Chief (Or whatever you want to name it) has the ability to move calls up or down on the list or in priority, purge the system, or delete individual calls (like multiple calls from a single person).


NOTE: EMS/Fire UI/tools and vehicles are not covered in this suggestion due to them already being suggested.  
NOTE 2: Firemedic will REPLACE both the Paramedic job AND Fire fighter job so that the few people who do play Paramedic or Firefighter can change roles as necessary to accomplish the mission. Most US Fire departments only hire people with a Fire cert and EMT or Paramedic cert so why shouldn't Evo be the same. 

Why should this be implemented?
This will (hopefully) bring the standard of the fire/paramedic job up, in that calls for service should not go unanswered. It will also allow the department to do more with less, in case the number of people who play the role does not increase. It will stop people from abusing the fire job and leaving people to die in 10 minute long oxygen sucking fires. It will also create a more multi-mission job that will open the door for better fire department RPs.

-I dont think they should be called firemedics, but the job could be called firefighter/paramedic and then people choose their roles or get assigned a role by the chief once on duty.

+Support for 2/3 of the green, but if a time limit is added, it should be 1 or 2 hours. I'd rather see a basic proficiency test people are required to take before they can access First Responder jobs, that way we ensure they have an idea of the basic requirements. Having this open for any random person makes little sense, as these jobs change the way a lot of things happen on the server.

As for the combing Firefighter and Paramedic into one job, I would like to point out that almost every US Fire Department that ain't out in the boondocks requires firefighters to have basic EMT training. Personally I prefer the split between the two, but having them combined definitely wouldn't be worse.

And finally, the mini extinguishers: I think they should be given to paramedics, an optional equipment choice for Police/SWAT/SSA (chosen from the Locker) and only resupplied from supply chests, not from vehicles. Also, they shouldn't be able to do much alone, as they are small and portable, and meant to keep fires in check long enough for the Fire Department to arrive.

I personally agree with @Jompe with the thing. There should be a governmental manager rather than asking the president as the President doesn't really get a chance to see the Paramedic/Fire and it could simply be corrupt reports from officers. Having a Chief/Leader for the Paramedic/Firemen would be nice as it would allow for the same kind of management as the Police and S.W.A.T.

The only thing I do not agree with what Jompe said is that there shouldn't be a time restriction. Personally, I think they should simply to allow the demotion rules to be not given to someone who doesn't know what they are doing. I recommend 2-6 hours, Less than Police (Or Sergeant if higher than 4) but higher so that a new player can get the hang of the gamemode.

+support for a small restriction (half hour / hour?)

neutral for Fire/EMTs (I don't mind, but it's not a bad idea). All US Firefighters require BLS training anyway, and EMS are part of the Fire Department. There isn't really a reason to have them split.
+support for mini-extinguishers (perhaps being able to fight fires to a smaller level, rather than having them just put out?)
+support for the turnout jacket.
+support for increasing EMT pay.

+support for placing in the ambulance, but I'm not sure how possible it is due to the ambulance model not being hollow in the back.
+support for /fcad (change the command / make a Gooey), but this system may be poor, considering all calls go to the entire government. This may have to be a change in /request, so /request <text> is general, /request fire goes only to fire, and /request police only goes to Police? May work well...

Fires: Whilst not part of the suggestion, I personally feel that fires need a bit of a change. Currently, they spread somewhat, but the fires are only one size. It may be a nice idea to have fires start small, and when they spread, they grow in size or spawn another small fire? Would be able to add some nice integration, such as if, when it's raining, tiny fires are put out? Would be nice.

Fire Chief - I've been wanting this done for awhile now. To me, there is a leader of the SWAT and a leader of the Police, why not a leader for the Fire/Medic team. As mentioned above, they would be in the field with the medics and fire teams so would be much more capable of handling demotions and such. And the Fire Chief Suburban should only be spawnable with this job.

Time Restriction - I agree. When a Medic or Firefighter is called, they are expected to respond immediately and know how to get there. For a new player, that just isn't possible as they are still learning the basic commands and how to open doors. I could live with a 2 hour restriction for Medic and Firefighter, 4 hour for Fire Chief.

Medic Dragging - Agree, they should be able to be their patient out of harms way.

Firemedic - I understand where you are coming from. But ultimately, I feel that the separation of the two should remain. Like mentioned above, having a medic answering a fire call in an Ambulance just doesn't look right. We have issues as it stands with them answering medic calls in Lamborghinis.

Mini-Extinguishers - As the system stands right now, I am not comfortable with this. Until a different fire system is put into place where a Firefighter's job is basically waiting for a vehicle crash, I don't feel comfortable with having another tool available to extinguish fires. It would make the job nearly pointless.

Medic Firejacket - Not sure this is needed if Medics can drag bodies.

Pay Increase - I agree with this.

Ambulance Transport - It would be nice but I'm not sure it is possible.

/fcad - Good idea but I feel that this might be someone better suited for Nexus Desk Secretary or another job. As the requests are across the board, a specialist job can actually sort all calls.
