After reading and replying to some of these threads here, I figured it is now my turn to post a news article.
This one caught my eye on a website and it actually struck me more than I expected, so I felt like I had to spread this.

I am happy to see that this world still contains people that live to make other people's days to be amazing, like Eric Schmitt-Matzen, someone I have a lot of respect for and for the work/gigs he's does.

Get ready for feels.

Saw this posted all over Reddit and Imgur.

Although a really sad story, at least the kid got his wish of seeing Santa.

Quote:Although facts about his background have checked out, his story of bringing a gift to a dying child remains unverified. The News Sentinel cannot establish that Schmitt-Matzen’s account is inaccurate, but more importantly, ongoing reporting cannot establish that it is accurate

It's a sad story, but it's just a story until it is actually verified. What I quoted was the Editor's Note at the top of the page. They have been able to confirm that he does have a fabulous beard, but that's about it. Is there another source that has actual verification that this happened?

I guess the child's Christmas wish was for the pain to stop.

I feel bad for the mother, not seeing her son die peacefully in his death bed
