As most of you are aware Teachers are not classed as members of the staff team, however are Contributor classed as members of the development team?

Please refer to the Teacher Position Description thread for a detailed description of what the role of a teacher constitutes.

Are teachers considered staff members?

While they play a crucial role in our operations, we do not identify teachers as a member of staff as it may give off the wrong impression about the position and deter players contacting them for help.

We are not classified as staff members mainly due to the fact that our primary aim is to aid players both new and old in their Limelight experience and to answer any questions or issues that may arise. This is why we also have permission to moderate the Help & Support section.

Contributors, like teachers, play a vital role in what goes on but aren't staff members. In saying that, they do work alongside the development team but they form their own team - the contributor team. We place them on the team page as a sign of gratitude for their hard work, just like veterans.
