I've been seeing a lot of people with this issue lately, so I'm going to make a thread I can just link people to.

First thing to do is grab the map from a source that is known to have the correct version of the map.
You can grab it here, this is a version I uploaded and is working: https://www.codethree.net/rp_evocity_v4b1.bsp

Second, in order to test the map before joining the game and getting kicked, and just to save time in general, you need to compare the below numbers (just one line will do, I pasted multiple algorithms in case someone already has a tool for whatever reason).

CRC-32: 618be0f8
MD4: 3a99c88829d90e1707366958b7ad9dc9
MD5: fda7e0c8a42e8f54a59d1855b9296cd5
SHA-1: 3ce58262cbe5b50220e8e9bc210c16a0db95d92d

You can check using this tool: https://code.kliu.org/hashcheck/

Just install it (download is on the right of the page). Once installed, all you have to do is right click a file, click properties, and there will be a checksums tab.

If the numbers are different then the map did not download to your computer again. You can try again, but chances are there is an issue with your network or hard drive that requires further troubleshooting.
