Unknown arsonists burnt down the BP gas station located on Mainstreet, fuel pumps were set ablaze and total chaos occurred in the city. The attacks occurred on Friday and attackers are still at large. One firefighter was severely injured whilst tackling the blaze.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers drenched the pumps in fuel before setting it alight. The station was torched, including a truck carrying fuel and fuel accessories.
Members of the FDEC responded to assist in putting out the flames but there was significant damage to property. Police officers closed off Mainstreet in order to keep traffic at bay and give more space for larger emergency vehicles. No arrests have been made since the attack but special units have been assigned to protect the gas station.
A high ranking government official reported that this is an act of domestic terrorism reaching the shores of EvoCity and that such attacks are ingredients for a national security crisis. There are speculations that if these attacks continue then there may be a full scale rebel war.
