SWAT Standoff on Top Street Results in Three Arrests

EvoCity Police say that their offers were under fire while a SWAT situation ensued at a restaurant on Top Street. It was reported that three gunmen entered the establishment using the front entrance on Friday afternoon. 

When officers were called to the scene they reported seeing a lot of movement and hearing a lot of shouting from the building. Tensions sharply escalated when bursts of gunfire were launched upon the officers at the scene; the EvoCity Police Department called in a local SWAT team to intervene.

Two civilians found themselves taken hostage and both were injured after a fire broke out blocking the front entrance. Fire department officials confirmed that the source of the fire was due to a Molotov thrown by one of the suspects. The police suffered several casualties and one officer was killed in the line of duty.

"We couldn't tell were the suspect was shooting from at first but we hard to fire back because once you've been shot you're going to fight back," said an unidentified EvoCity police officer.

All three suspects were taken into custody, however, authorities could not disclose their identities and their motive remains unknown. The Carfano family has not claimed responsibility.
