So I equiped a tranq sniper, then went on to disarm it later and it said it gave back my ammo, but when I checked my inventory it wasnt there.

This has happened to me alot to. It happens with most guns.

You'll only get ammo back if the remaining ammo in the weapon is equal to or more than the amount contained in a case.

Are you sure the gun had more ammo than one case left in the gun?

Yeah, I didnt even shoot it.

You reloaded the ammo which counts as 1 which means you didn't have a full box
