My gaming headphone mic died on my a couple of days ago and I need a new set. I'm looking for good quality headphones with a price limit of 60$. Needs to have a flexible mic.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Are you able to save up more than that? If so, I'd highly suggest you do and invest in a proper standing mic and a separate pair of headphones if possible.
Liked something I've said or done? Why not support me by leaving me a REP?

I'm pretty short on money with the virus and all, but I'll look into it. Thanks.

So, I originally had Sennheiser 558's. Best. Headset. Ever. I had these for a few years and I did need to have a separate mic as there is no intergrated mic in the headset, which tbf, they are usually shit anyway..

558's: https://www.analogueseduction.net/headph...hones.html

However, I sold them on.

I recently bought these badboys and oooo spicy meme yes.

Slightly on the "expensive" side as some people would say, but, you get GLOWING KITTY EARS.

In all seriousness, Razer are not ones to give off the best audio sound, I bought these purley because im a dirty gay and I want fucking glowing kitty ears man! However, Sennheiser, Audio Technica and those level of brands are the way forward if you want the best audio, whilst they come at a price, it's totally worth the investment as you will have these for a few years (Unless you like breaking or replacing them every year lol). I would also recommend including a DAC into your setup. I personally use a Fiio Q1 DAC for my audio as I care for it. You can pick a decent DAC up for around £70.00 from Amazon, or, the retailers site direct. Fiio is a brand I rave about. It gives off "Studio Quality" audio should you care for that.

Check the Q1 out here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/FiiO-Q1ii-2nd-H...B0757MH46M

Hope that gives you some insight. It is worth saving for, trust me. The saying "You get what you pay for" is so, so true! Cheap headsets do not last. But, a "cheap" headset I know of, that is semi-what decent, would be the HyperX Cloud series. These retail for around £40-£50.

HyperX Cloud's: https://www.hyperxgaming.com/en/headsets...ng-headset

Whilst I own a jokey headset, I do actually know my fair share about Audio, so if you ever have any questions, drop me a PM or message me on Steam / Discord. Smile

Thank you for all the info and links! I'll take a look at the HyperX. I like the headphones that have the built in mic but I like to be able to move the mic around got get the sweet spot so I'm not breaking ears, but people can also hear me.

Thanks again!

I personally go for Turtle Beach for their sound and microphone quality. Sometimes they also have a neat feature of a audio controller/regulator that allows you to modify in-game and chat sounds. This means it allows you to mix your (for example) Discord/TeamSpeak sound with your in-game/YouTube/movies/music, etc. sound. It often comes with a microphone boost/mute/feedback button and a bunch of other stuff.

The more expensive Turtle Beach headsets I got, usually broke off around the ear-shell. Some of their designs are just really weak or maybe I do weird shit with mine. So I decided to go for a Logitech headset for once. After about half a year, the microphone died on that one though and so I gave Turtle Beach a chance again.

At that point I saw this cheap - but with a bunch of good reviews - Turtle Beach Ear Force Z60 DTS for about $30.

I don't really know what the quality of my microphone is but, as far as I know, everyone can understand me perfectly fine and when I have voice feedback or do a test on my microphone it sounds clear to me. The sound is pretty good too.

I literally just use some sony in-ear headphones with an Audio Technica 2020 free-standing mic. ( I use a Scarlett 2i2 as my audio interface. It isn't too expensive and It's the best set up I've had. I guess I could use overhear earphones but they normally give me headaches.

A man of culture, I see. I also use these headphones and can assure you they're worth the money.
I pair these headhphones with this mic and I'd say it gets the job done reasonably well.

Oh shit..anotha one.

I currently have and recommend a Corsair Void Pro.

Wireless version retails for $99.99. It is a little out of your price range, but worth saving up a bit for in my opinion.

https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories...9011152-NA

The wired version (which is the one that I have) retails for 79.99 off of Corsair's website.
