Darknoob, why say "yes" to a development rank on FL in the first place when you want your stuff removed later.
Makes no sense.

Explained in goodbye thread.
Seems everyone is a copyright lawyer now. Soul has claimed that all our content of FL is legally his (it isn't) and he's profited off the use of our work. That is why we are requesting the removal of our work. OVH's ToS explains it will also investigate copyright claims from third parties and holds the right to restrict or terminate a service (DMCAs are included under this clause).

In addition a large quantity of our content is hosted on the Steam Workshop by Soul. I'll give you one guess as to what country Valve is based in.
I dont get something.

You claim you dont want war,yet you want your content removed asap. That is like adding fuel to a fire in your own house.

Well I don't know about others. But I want to get separated from FL ASAP.

This has nothing to do with LL. This is between us, the content creators, and Soul who is claiming our work as his property and is profiting off of it.
Yes, please note that the content removal request is NOT from LimeLight. It is not Temar or I that posted it, but the other individuals. I'm currently fine for FL to continue using the 20+ updates I made; hopefully the community there will still enjoy them.

I'll move this shortly into discussions, as it's no longer really news or an announcement; we won't be closing this thread, of course, only moving it.

Exactly this.
We tried to settle everything through private messaging before all this. Here's some proof that SoulRipper is claiming the work as his property and tying it to LL when it was nothing to do with the community and done at our personal request.

Edit: It also looks like he's removed the FearlessRP ToS page, coincidentally after the DMCA was posted - https://fearlessrp.net/tos.html

Edit2: On the ToS announcement page he's removed the line:

2.1. Who owns the content that I put on the Services? We do not claim ownership of the content you provide on the Services. Your content remains your content. We do not control, verify, or endorse the content that you and others make available on the Services.

That was 6 hours ago, gee I wonder why he did that.
Ofcourse this will draw attention the whole "war" aspect. If you believe it isnt going to, then i think youre extremely naive.

The whole DMCA thing is childish in my eyes, honestly what are you hoping to achieve? In your best case scenario the content will be removed and then what? Youll sleep better at night?

For the sake of both communities just drop the subject.

Protecting the rights to our creations is 'childish'? If we allow Soul to claim legal ownership of our content that leaves possible ramifications in the future. Had he simply removed the content that the original two individuals had created and requested instead of claiming ownership to them this situation would never have escalated to this point. We've attempted an open dialogue to this 3 times already, this was not our first choice of action.
I feel like i just read a discussion between Sherlock Holmes and Patric the Star Fish...... Im a lame lights guys xD
