Evocity v2d was a pretty nice map for RP. +support
What I really liked about that map is the size. Its not too small or big.
On each an every corner you would find custom rps.
All other maps (Rockford v2b, Evocity v2p, Florida) are too big for our population, with the exception of v4b1/v33x.
IMHO we should vote for a map that can populate the server.
Last thing we want is a map that is rarely ever populated (if its too big).
you need the dream team back to sort the mess out. am I right?
yeah like Burnett said v2d is a classic map

If people actually enjoyed Limelight they wouldn't be bothered by a few crashes.
To the its the map vs. its not the map debate. A map that tends to crash is part of a problem.
People dont enjoy an empty server nor do they enjoy crashing and loosing jobs/progress. The emptyness is not 100% tied to stability but it would be ignorant to say its not related or that it does not leave an impact.

We are moaning about a toxic community and once again resume to bashing each others heads in over a change like this. This seems a little short sighted to me.
It's probably a mix of the Map and the matter of content and other issues. As expected this thread has gone toxic.
I feel that the map is very ghetto -ey, and that it doesn't have a very well rounded approach to all aspects of Roleplay for CityRP, such as a central area (built up), forestry and such and so it's difficult to find places to build and each integrate all aspects of RP properly into the map due to it's structure. I mean, it is in the map's description that it is the "ghetto" of Union City. Now regardless of that, we voted and I shouldn't complain but it's my personal opinion in what I feel that a rather subtle element to the new playstyles.
Disclaimer: I'm not saying it's a shit map, I think we can all agree it surpasses many other maps with it's detail and creation. I'm just not sure it promotes RP for all aspects and that there might be, sociologically, a more subtle aspect to this.
I honestly feel that we should revert to the Rockford days during the prime in 2018, or at least when I first joined. Revert the tab screens and try to bring back some of the changes then. I'm not sure how it will help, but reliving the legacy might revert or help to bring us back to a stable, fun stage of LL. I'm saying generally, i'm not saying that a change to the tab menu is going to fix all our problems lmao, but i'm saying for us to be brought back to that time. It's difficult for me to explain, I hope my point came across somewhat cognitively.
In reality, we just need content and a restart to the 'Dead Cycle' (where noone joins because there is noone on). A map crashing and causing frustration is clearly a large issue and should be addressed, leave no stone unturned. We can't ignore it.

No, a poorly built and heavily outdated system that causes the map to crash is the problem.
The team needs to start to realise it is their system that is the problem not the map.

Yeah, a move off of GMod to our own game, like Gmod Tower did would be great, but I don't think we've got the development power to pull it off.

There have been a number posts on various different threads recently about inactivity within the SA team, and you only think to mention this now?
I'm genuinely not too sure what your expecting here.
I updated my profile's bio to point out that I was on leave.
I updated my user title to show that I was away.
I updated my signature to show that I was on leave.
I made an inactivity post internally so they were kept in the loop.
After I did that, I went so that I could take care of my situation, something that's still ongoing but I'm trying my best to balance things.
You should have DMd every single player on steam to let them know you idiot
