Explain your suggestion, in detail: Change the in-game job name of "fireman" to firefighter.
Explain why the suggestion should be implemented: At the moment is politically incorrect, and if compared to other jobs such as police officer which is politically correct it does not make sense for the FD to not have politically correct job titles.

Both terms are acceptable, but are we really going to spend valuable development time on making a job title more "Politicaly Correct"?

“Political correctness is America's newest form of intolerance, and it is especially pernicious because it comes disguised as tolerance. It presents itself as fairness, yet attempts to restrict and control people's language with strict codes and rigid rules. I'm not sure that's the way to fight discrimination. I'm not sure silencing people or forcing them to alter their speech is the best method for solving problems that go much deeper than speech.”

I couldn’t laugh hard enough.
OT: If you think the term “fireman” is politically incorrect, you’re looking a little to into it. As BD quoted, forcing someone to restrict their vocabulary to fit your version of political correctness isn’t the way to approach this “problem” (Granted I don’t see a problem).
+Support because Firefighter sounds cooler than Fireman.
I could give one less of a fuck about inclusiveness or political correctness but "fireman" in and of itself is just, as would put it, yucky.
The title of "Firefighter" sounds much more professional and flows a bit better. Yes its purely just an aesthetic thing.

I would've said yes because 'firefighter' simply sounds more professional but of course you had to ruin it with your political correctness 🙄
Either way, fireman is still an inclusive term - We're all huMAN.

Saying this is just as bad as supporting it to be PC

This is a 20 minute job max, and firefighter is the professional title.
EDIT: But, uh, changing it for the sole purpose of including female firefighters is just silly.

What if I identify as "Lord Muffalo, Destroyer of Flames, Breather of Water and Ender of the Universe" ?

Mistook this for a troll suggestion initially because of it's absurd wording, then realised it was dead serious, oh my. Anyways, this really doesn't matter and is nitpicking really.

My official job is "Firefighter", not "Fireman". "Police Officers" are not listed as "Policemen". We're already there with the police job; it would take no effort to change this for FD. It's a disservice to the profession to
not update it to its proper title.
