Because that will stop people that dont know that things exist...
There are various aspects and features of this gamemode that people dont know that exist and this will just be adding to that list. Players can barely figure out how to buy Gov vehicles that are clearly defined in a sub-category.

Again, that can be rectified by having them spawn with the outfit on them, or make it a toggle-able option that is on by default. The other option might be giving lower hour/first time joiners a popup guide.

Wouldnt just processing the already aprooved thread solve this issue for people who want to have civil clothing alltogether, vadar had a great point people some folks have problems finding stuff in clearly distinquished categories, and if a fireman goes out on duty in civil clothing just because he didnt know how to change to his uniform and he was needed urgently, are you just going to charge the new player with failrp then and tell him he shouldnt do that and that hes in the wrong, giving people item called "civilian clothing" will solve both of the worlds.

Edit: also uniforms for most jobs are given out to them, civilian clothing you have to buy for you own cash, it makes sence even irl
Literally everyone including SWAT and the President would run around in civilian clothing 24/7.

It is a good idea but it won't go well.

Neutral, tending to -support.

FailRP is already a rule. Unless SWAT or the President have a reason to run around in civilian clothing, it’s a violation of the rules and can be dealt with by staff. People abusing it isn’t a good excuse when literally everything can be abused and people nitpick if jobs don’t look how they think they should. Why not nitpick the arresting system or base rules that areeasier to abuse?

Forcing players to spend more in-game money on clothing that would be provided to them as government workers.
Why not just compromise? Some jobs, like chef or gun dealer, can have anything as an outfit and work OK - basically every job but President, law enforcement, and EMS would be fine without models. But those exceptions could remain locked to their job models.

definitely won't try to fix the economy for players to attempt to freestyle and give their characters an image

That would work, or perhaps have their Uniform selectable in the locker? Similar to how Visible Kevlar works now?
