Suggestion for <in-game/forum/teamspeak etc.>: IG

In detail, explain your suggestion: Add Cadet job and new time limit for Police Officer, Police Sergeant, SWAT Sergeant, and SWAT Unit.

Why should this be implemented? Cadet Job would have a different model (Maybe the older PD Models?) and no access to lethal weapons and cruisers. These jobs can be accessed by players who have no hours in any PD job (Listed above).

Once they reach 4 hours in the job, they may be a Police Officers. (SWAT Unit if they bought Membership)

Once they reach 8 hours in the Police Officer job, they can be the Police Sergeant. (SWAT Sergeant if they bought membership)

This allows for players to gain experience on the job before being given the more important items. No longer will we have players join the job and not have experience other than being a Gun Dealer for 4 hours.

This suggestion is still a bare-bones idea, so if you think anything can be added to make this better, please suggest it.
+support cool idea, would be great

People could gather expierence about the Police Job and learn everything before being confronted with a own Vehicle and a lethal Weapon, which is way better than just throwing them in the cold water if they have no experience whatsoever.
Can people who have more than 4 hours still play cadet and how many job slots for the cadet? Do the other officer spot will be decreased if a cadet joins his job? Questions...

Good questions.

1. Yes you can still play as cadet, but I would say it is discouraged unless you are in the spot to learn.

2. Most likely it will be a new position with its own cap of say, half the PD? So 4 officers watch over 2 casets where as 6 watch over 3.
+Support. However would like a whitelist for government. Have them be able to join cadet, but needing to be trained and whitelisted to become a police officer.
Sounds a bit too serious for me, going to stay neutral until further ideas are suggested.

This is what I want to strive for, however our play style and the label we have (Semi-Serious) seem o not allow this according to my Whitelist PD Suggestion. Hopefully this is a good starting point for people to realize a trained, restricted is better than random players hopping on and shooting bad guys.

This sounds like another step closer to a police whitelist which is awesome, however I don't feel as though LimeLight is gonna reach the whitelist due to the style of RP and the willingness of RP on the server isn't quite there for the whitelist.
However, I +support the cadet as it opens up new doors for RP without needing to be overly serious still, being able to stick to the normal LL RP.

We need to move away from what we used to be. Something more fresh and intresting. Shouldnt let certain things limit us. I agree fully.
+ Support for cadet
+ Support for a "Light" whitelist, which would make new players go through an hands-on training before being able to become police officers. This training would be conducted by FTO's.
+ Support for requiring a written application to become a police supervisor and/or an FTO.
- Support for complex ranks, TBH the police reform   suggested is fine. 8 officers require just an head and a field supervisor.
- Support for a mandatory written application, everyone could look good on paper.

What about that?

Once they reach 4 6 or hours in the job, they may be a Police Officers.

Once they reach 8 18 or 20 hours in the Police Officer job, they can be the Police Sergeant.
