I feel like we need a sub-forum just for Trump... I've bolded the bits for any TL:DR

Warning comes from the former head of the US President's transition team at the Environmental Protection Agency

A former climate change adviser to Donald Trump has said the US President will pull America out of the landmark Paris agreement and an executive order on the issue could come within “days”.

Myron Ebell, who took charge of Mr Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) transition team, said the President was determined to undo policies pushed by Barack Obama to restrict greenhouse gas emissions.

He said the US would "clearly change its course on climate policy" under the new administration and claimed Mr Trump was "pretty clear that the problem or the crisis has been overblown and overstated".

“I expect Donald Trump to be very assiduous in keeping his promises, despite all of the flack he is going to get from his opponents,” he told a briefing in London.

“He could do it by executive order tomorrow, or he could wait and do it as part of a larger package. There are multiple ways and I have no idea of the timing.”

Mr Ebell, a long-standing climate sceptic, was employed by the Trump team last September to review the EPA and worked for the Republican billionaire until his inauguration on 20 January.

Mr Trump, who has previously called climate change a hoax invented by the Chinese, promised a raft of policies during his campaign including to undo Obama’s climate action plan and defund UN climate change work.

The Paris agreement, successor to the Kyoto Protocols, aims to "stabilise greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system".

In November, two weeks after his election victory, Mr Trump said he had an "open mind" on the climate deal, which was drafted at the end of 2015 and signed on the 22 April 2016.

The agreement has 194 signatories, including the US.

Well fuckety-fuck. As someone who's kind of, y'know, bothered (I guess you could even say I'm triggered) by Climate Change, this is not good. The whole reason the Kyoto Protocol didn't work was because the two largest emitters of CO2, China and the USA, didn't sign it.
As a result CO2 levels in the atmosphere have increased exponentially (of course this hasn't been helped by the deforestation going on elsewhere).

Yes, the climate has been changing since the dawn of time. But on average, the years are getting hotter - hotter than the previous hottest - and 5.5 GtC are added to the atmosphere each year, because it can't be absorbed nearly as fast as it's being emitted.
We need to look forward to more sustainable ways of making energy so that we can give the atmosphere a 'break', so to speak. If entire nations can commit to renewable energy then maybe something will happen, but there's no point in all the little people pushing forward 1 step if the big one pushes it back by 2.

I'm all for Trump calling for 'America first', but perhaps he's forgotten that there's only one Earth; one climate.

booy here we go again

Just impeach him already.

Hope you're not a climate change denier too..
Somebody should do the same that have done to john kennedy, unfortunately that Trump its a bad person , like obama said , dont expect to much from someone who lived 70 years and did nothing good
We're talking about a man who took up politics as a hobby at the age of 70. If you can't even trust the man to be serious on Twitter, then I don't see how the man can be trusted with the most powerful position in the world.

Look you can have your opinions on Trump as a president but it's nearly idiotic to say he's done nothing good. He's raised a multi-billion dollar corporation, and created hundreds, even thousands of jobs for people. You can correct me if I'm wrong but that's more than most of you talking shit have done.

https://www.snopes.com/trump-flies-sick-boy/ - He flew a sick, jewish boy to the hospital for medical treatment with his private jet.

https://www.insidephilanthropy.com/home/...hropy.html - He's donated numerous times to charity and other fund-raising organizaitons.

I can link more but those are just a few examples.

he inherited the compady in which his dad built. He created jobs for others only to gain money himself. He has a long list of ripping people off, hard working americans in which he claims to "stand for" He's done more harm than good. I feel as if you're unable to " see further than your nose " If Trump coninues with his power trip it'll end fucking bad. How can you not see this!?

For the good stuff you've linked, you know what its called? Its called politics. He does it to convince people like you that hes a good guy when in reality hes the biggest villain out there.

I never said he has done nothing good. However, I believe his negatives definitely outweigh his positives.

He's stayed out of politics until recently, which was even already stated. More importantly he's not the anti-christ. Like seriously you act like he's going to blow up the moon. And he doesn't "claim" to stand for them, so far, like it or not, he's done everything he said he'd do. Which is something called honesty, which we lack in politics and it's also a key reason people voted him in the first place.

More importantly I didn't know every good deed has to have some sort of hidden meaning behind it. Can't people just be nice? Why does that sound so hard to believe? Can he not be a good person too?

OT: Despite my optimism on Trump, this sucks ass.

He stayed out of politics? Do you honestly belive that? Look who he has been hanging around throughout his career. Politicians, and its weird that he wont release his tax returns don't you think? Because he says he stayed out of it, anyone not questioning that needs to learn how to think critically.

Politics are all about public apperances. sure he might've done some things because he wanted to be nice, but again i seriously doubt that and for good reasons.

I don't think he's gonna blow up the moon or whatever but politics are politics and shit is never what you think it is. He is afterall the worlds most powerfull man currently on a power trip. And that is fucking scary.

saying he's an honest person is just ignorant, he's been caught lying on multiple occations.

There's checks and balances, everything he's doing now though is in his presidential power, and other presidents exercised it in the past. Though now that Trump is doing it, it's become super controversial though no one minded other presidents practicing it. Though you know, Hillary Clinton seems to fit the role of what you're describing a hell of a lot more than Trump if I may say personally. Hell she'll say anything. More importantly Trump said he'd release his tax returns if she released her emails, all of them that is.
