I believe that it's far too late for USA to try to reduce/remove the weapons that's currently in the country. Weapons are sadly a big part of the 'merican culture and  I don't think there's much that will be done in a long time, but a change is needed as it's clear that the current system isn't working at all.

Australia is a country who did it right in my eyes. Sure, Criminals can still get their hands on illegal firearms, but a an illegal firearm is a lot harder and more expensive to get a hold of. America plis try to fix ur shit.

Education is the best solution. California's solution is to functionally limit firearms which makes little sense.
Here's an idea.....how about we stop arguing about gun control in the US. As Enzyme said, it's a very big part of American culture. It's been lodged into our society that having a firearm is ok for security, but can also breach security. There is no right or wrong way to deal with gun control. Sure weapons can save lives if official security is unavailable, but the same firearms can be used to cause massive shootouts. No matter what you try to do, gun control will never work. Criminals have ways, and a few laws aren't going to stop them. So, suck it up, conceal carry (Don't open carry an AR-15....dick), and protect yourself.
I think everyone should own a gun. Let's be honest, no laws are going to stop people from getting deadly weapons. While there should be some strict laws on who can own what, I believe everyone ( does not include terrorist/mentally ill ) should have a gun in their house or in their car. Of course I may think this because I am from Texas and I grew up with guns and all my friends would always talk about going shooting and what not. But like why can't we all just have our own pistol and learn to fire back. Like if someone is breaking into your house, I don't want to be defenseless. I want to know how to properly injure them without 1) killing them 2) getting myself killed. Face it, many many people own guns and we will not be able to destroy them and live in a peaceful world where no one will get shot. Everyone has the right to security and the feeling of safety. And without a gun I sure as hell wouldn't feel either of those.
If you shoot and injure, you get ripped a new one in court since lawsuits have occurred under such circumstances, and the original perp can win that case. Shoot to defend yourself and your loved ones first and always - center mass, whatever you can hit. Whether or not the intruder ends up paying the ultimate price for his decision to enter your property illegally, for whatever purpose, at least you'll know that you defended yourself.

He gave the money to the seller and the seller gave him the gun. That is a 13 year old purchasing a firearm, no other way around it.

Sure, anyone can get their hands on an illegal if they really want to, but the biggest factor is if they can afford to.
I'll refeer you to my previous post about blackmarket-prices on weapons rising in countries such as Australia who basically re-did how they handle guns. If I were to get my hands on an illegal firearm in Norway then I'd have to spend a lot of money to get it, and I'd also have to take a big risk in getting it without getting caught.

I fully disagree with that everyone should own a gun, just because of how many idiots there are out there. People with temper issues, people who get drunk, bla bla bla. Give everyone a gun and you'll see a big spike in weapon-related crime and violence. There's no way around that. Everyone who wants to own a gun should have proper background investigation to find those who are violent, unstable and bla bla bla.

If you need to give everyone a gun because the world is so dangerous, then that's the wrong solution. You're not making the world safer by giving everyone a gun.

You mention burglaries in your argument and that everyone needs a gun for self-defense.
In Norway, burglaries are almost always done when no-one is at home, and if you are at home when it happens then they will almost always try later at a later date. If someone is going around robbing places and he thinks that there is someone home with a gun, but he wants to rob the place then he'll need to get a gun himself. Giving people guns doesn't make the world less dangerous. It can increase situations escalating.

If you're robbed and you're carrying a concealed gun, should you just give the man your wallet and remove yourself way from the situation, or should you risk your life trying to kill him yourself? It's very dangerous for a gun-owner to overestimate his own abilities while underestimating their "opponents".

I personally think that people owning guns can cause for a lot more problems than owning a gun will solve and that it's not worth it. There's been enough shooting-episodes in USA already, and it's clear that "the right to own a gun" hasn't exactly helped USA for the past 100 years. If you give everyone the right to own a gun, then you're also giving that right to an idiot who's willing to escalate any situation that could have been solved without shooting someone.

As I see it, USA has already done something that they can't really recover from, and that's making firearms so accessible. The whole "bad guys own guns so why shouldn't we"-argument falls short when you compare USA to other countries, both countries where guns are rare and not. It's a big lesson that USA has to learn because of the Second Amendment, and I just hope that people will try to learn from past incidents instead of putting the blame where it shouldn't be. The whole "bad guys have access to guns so why shouldn't we" isn't really a valid argument in my eyes, and there needs to be a change and I just wonder how many more mass-shootings that need to take place before eyes are opened.

No, but were you there to decide otherwise?
If you can provide more examples of when a gun has stopped a mass shooting compared the the number of mass shootings there have been then I'll start to reconsider my stance on the matter.

Ok, so the earliest one in that list by year was 1999.

Since 1999 there has been 31 school shootings. That's JUST schools and not including other mass shootings.
