+Support, was fighting with a cop on the server today and his shotgun still did a shit load of damage at long range.

A shotgun is a really heavy weapon and you would probably die of 1 shot irl. If you think the shotgun is too OP, then you can use it yourself to get "advantage". 
If you get hit by 9mm bullet to your fatal organs you will get killed by a single bullet...

Yes because, there is sharpnels or "shots" in that shotgun shell, but it doesn´t matter how many bullets hit you, that what matters is that where those projectiles hit, for example if one hits to your heart it will break you´re circulatory system. But I think this is something considered as self-evident.

- support Its a shotgun, it has to deal some serious damage at close range and so far it seems well balanced. Officers who carry one surely get a benefit in close range but are qeually screwed in long range scenarios like corleone raids, active shooters etc. For long enough an officer was nothing else thatn a guy with a bb gun, a disposable law enforcer. I admit that exspecially shotguns shouldnt be pulled at every situation (but that goes for all large firearms) but the over all weapon balancing is definatly done as it isnt allways the wiise choice to carry one, and there are still plenty other powerfull weapons that could easily counter any armed officer or individual.
Everyone keeps saying if you get shot with a shotty IRL your are instantly dead because of all the pieces of the bullet that goes at you... here is my problem A) The server doesn't ( Nor can it ) have 100% realistic damage. By that I mean that if you got show with a shotgun from 50 feet away and the aim was off, you may get hit in the arm with one piece and it would just graze you. Shottys are close rang weapons. There are times when I am anarchist or something and I go to break someone out of jail and an officer is coming up and is at the bottom of the ramp and I could be with a group of people with long range weapons and the police takes us all out in two shots. None of us getting time to do anything except aim but by then the shotty has sent 600 pieces of metal into us which is quite unrealistic because as I said shottys are close rang weapons and at a good distance you have a chance of none of them hitting you because the metal goes off in all directions.
+ Support, The shotgun is to overpowered even at long distances.. I once got killed in a 500m fighter and i was hiding behind a car with a pistol, 1 shot hit me and i was killed.
I think a better suggestion would be if you remove police officers from having a shutgun from the lockers and giving them the M4s instead. As the shutgun is a much more powerful and expensive weapon.
