[split] Re-implement Defib for EMS/FD/Police. - Soviethooves - Sep 25, 2018 +Supportish Suggestion: Re-implement defibrillators. This is given to Paramedics on their person and to EMS FD via their car. PD will need to choose between medkit and defibs. EMS have a 100% chance to revive someone with Defibrillators and a 50% chance of fully healing the revived. FD have a 75% chance to revive someone with Defibs and a 30% chance of fully healing the revived. PD have a 20% chance to revive someone with Defibs and a 5% chance of fully healing the revived. Every failed attempt with Defibs should deal 5 damage to the subject. Give a $1,000 to every 10 points of health healed by EMS and FD PD would get $250 every 10 points of health healed. This would give people a reason to still play EMS instead of being a PD/EMS boi with not only a money incentive, but also a higher chance of a successful revival. ADDITION: Charge time of defibs should be 3-5 seconds for each round when first deployed and 10 seconds to recharge. That way you can’t just spam someone’s body. ADDITION: PD must choose medkit or defibs. Not both. RE: [split] Re-implement Defib for EMS/FD/Police. - Doctor Internet - Oct 10, 2018 Split into it's own suggestion. RE: [split] Re-implement Defib for EMS/FD/Police. - Soviethooves - Oct 11, 2018 (Oct 11, 2018, 12:53 AM)Overlewd Wrote: I dunno, given that you can almost infinitely heal an injured person, the 20% chance to revive with 5 damage on fail basically becomes 100% chance to revive with a bit of a delay and no damage. Read it a little closer it says 20% chance to revive injured, 5% fully healed. That percentage is supposed to be calculated on the successful heal. Example is the system would give you a 20% chance to revive someone. If it’s successful you then have a 5% chance for it to be fully healed. The rules will still apply to reviving during raids, but this allows for EMS and FD to be valid and almost necessary options rather than sitting and staring at a body for 3 minutes trying to roll successfully. If you are worried about the medkit healing, maybe we should have FA:S which would be a more tedious process of healing ![]() RE: [split] Re-implement Defib for EMS/FD/Police. - Armard - Oct 11, 2018 How about we make it a selectable item for the pd like we have the detective kit, replacing their primary with defib Edit: if you think this is a dumb idea then please explain how would a suitcase replace a shotgun RE: [split] Re-implement Defib for EMS/FD/Police. - Temar - Oct 11, 2018 Ok the revive % seams ok BUT its a 1 time thing, then you goto get a paramedic or they die as for reward, that very high reward your talking 10k for a full heal so NO to that RE: [split] Re-implement Defib for EMS/FD/Police. - Soviethooves - Oct 11, 2018 (Oct 11, 2018, 03:24 AM)Temar Wrote: Ok the revive % seams ok BUT its a 1 time thing, then you goto get a paramedic or they die Where did I say it was a one time thing? And if the reward is another thing you aren’t agreeing with, it’s an incentive to play EMS and not just stay FD or PD with defibs. Besides, EMS needs a bigger incentive to play. 2k or less for a revive is pocket change currently. RE: [split] Re-implement Defib for EMS/FD/Police. - Project - Oct 11, 2018 I think no reward should be given for HP healed. +Support otherwise Failed attempts should do more damage, cops would need to equip the defib from the armoury. RE: [split] Re-implement Defib for EMS/FD/Police. - Montyfatcat - Oct 11, 2018 +support maybe cops can either choose a health kit or a defib, but not both. Also a SWAT could pick both but it eliminates their third option for equipment, making a combat medic essentially. RE: [split] Re-implement Defib for EMS/FD/Police. - Soviethooves - Oct 11, 2018 Added needing to choose medkit or defib as PD. SWAT should not have access to give them reliability on other emergency services. Why have the VP? Secretaries can give out passes. Why have a President? The Chief can do warrants. Why have a President? Fires go out if there's no fireman. Why have firemen? People can fish, why have chefs? Why's there no alternative to allow RP to continue if injured, rather than just *ded*?
