Punching - bismo - Jan 24, 2018

Explain your suggestion, in detail: Make punching have more damage, and maybe make it have a knockout chance. 5 damage per hit would be a decent amount without being too OP.

Explain why the suggestion should be implemented: Fists might as well not exist other than for minging. At least you'll be able to beat someones ass with them now.

If this was to be implemented, a further cooldown between punches would need to be in place.

What do you guys think it should be changed to? Right now it's about 1 second in between the punches, would 3 seconds be enough? I feel like any more than that would feel really weird, like 5 seconds in between punches seems like too much.

If there would be more supervising on punchwhoring, the cool-down would be between 2.5 and 3 seconds and the damage wouldn't be insanely high, then definitely a +support.

Some of yall need to go get in a fight. If it takes you 2.5 - 3 seconds to throw a single punch, yall gonna lose that wallet. Punching is already steady enough. You have just as much rule violation potential with fists as you do the physicsgun or any cheap melee weapon. Even then, don't see too many cases of any of those either, without being handled in a timely fashion.

Remember when racism was allowed in character? People said it would be N**** N**** N**** all day long, but it cooled down after a few days. Once everyone is used to having it, it won't be a problem. In the beginning there will be a few bumps with it, like anything that you add that inflicts damage or death.

Give this a shot without making it fully stupid, please.

Yeah I was gonna make this argument. Even in DarkRP people aren't really punchwhoring, a physgun can do way more damage than any fists can. Sure, there might be a slight spike in punchwhoring for a while, kinda like the racism thing, but now, there aren't any issues.

Punching needs to be rebalanced. I feel as though the DPS needs to go up, but perhaps a slight increase to the punching speed would work better than an increase in damage.
