The only issue with this is that new players/minges will just click any button and it wouldn't be a true vote

Amazing how that works out. Push hard for Rockford, you get Rockford. Push hard for v5p, you get v5p.

Even the previous map vote showed a favor of V5P over Rockford on the forums, but I bet you pushed really hard to get it into the F1 menu so randoms can vote on it and you could really push for it on players in-game. Bet if I was active at that time, it'd have a different outcome because I'm sure after explaining all the cons to Rockford and the pros to V5P the vote would've had a different outcome

Which map vote? The one that was 50/50, the one that guy Rockford by 5-6 votes before beign concluded, or the voting poll IG that had Rockford majority?

They're actually well done, but sadly some have pre-placed items inside.

The roads were one of the bigger things that players liked about Rockford. The highway allowed it to not hit any dead ends.

Make one. There was an office on v4b1, but most people opted to make their offices elsewhere.

no room for clan builds (reason why every admin clan builds custom areas),

Use any part of the map that you can find. Just add a foundation to it.

GM issue, not map issue. This was already found out and I believe v5p has the same situation. Good map, but the lag is coming from the GM.

Gas Stations that are filled with gas station stuff so people can RP a gas station as a gas station and not a gun store.

industrial area that doesn't even look good and is placed next to downtown and makes it a 10 second drive from PD and has high foot traffic so this makes these areas useless for actual criminal builds not to mention the industrial spaces are huge boxes with poor lighting making them impossible to properly decorate or use for RP (exception being when you're an admin with unlimited props), industrial area middle building isn't used because it's crap and uses flat PHX materials for the exterior and interior and has no room for any meaningful RP usage,

lake homes are probably the only semi-decent buildings on the map along with the tavern and some suburban homes, and they are only used for contraband for that reason.

Lag isn't the map's fault. It's our GM and the map is actually quite well spaced out. V5p is in the same boat.

however as stated in the thread those things aren't true. We've never run V5P, it's the same if not better in optimization as Rockford and it functions just as well with 50 players on. There's nobody being spread out hiding, people would actually use the downtown to RP and not be cramped at 190 Main St which is the standalone box shop on Rockford.

Yea, I remember the same thing not happening when we had v4b1. Many the shops were used once and everyone else would be outside the city basing.

Rockford is hurting our communities level of RP and honestly limiting our capacity for growth

How so? We've seen an increase in peak days since the switch according to some players.

Just because like 10 people in game or in the forums are now changing their mind and cry that they desperately want to have V5P, the map won't get changed I think. You are not representative for the whole community of actually hundrets of people.

I admit that I am not that big of a fan of Rockford. But:

Rockford won the vote - deal with it. Every map has it's up and down sides.
