I would like to know what these "months" of bullshit were. The situation itself was overreacted on both sides IMO (The TS chatter was something I don't agree with being public), but at the end multiple staff members voted that the actions on the players' parts was allowed. It was inapropriate to just phase out from a situation that easily could have been dealt with IC.

I really feel the FUMUKU Bias is just getting out of hand on other people's part. The reason they're always seen together is because they're a close group of friends. It just so happens that one of them is a staff member, but in no way is that a definite answer to them being bias.

Back in my day I had a blast banning my friends

Having great power comes with great responsibility, if you can't use your position to do the right thing then you shouldn't have it

what's popular is not always what's right

its not as hard as it looks guys

im going back to bed now

I do not like beating around the bush. There is bias, and there will always be bias. However the decision to prevent  that bias, or acknowledge it is one not enough people take. When there is bias in play, you know this of yourself. You need to ensure that you either let another staff member deal with the situation, or disclose your bias.

Too often it's not disclosed in promotion threads for both teachers as well as staff members. Punishment and discipline for those who display bias repeatedly and failing to acknowledge it is severely lacking. While it's a delicate topic, at one point enough is enough.

Sorry sir no brown nosing on this thread.

Just an opinion bb. No need to be rude ;)

Look I'm part of FUMUKU technically but Blackdog and Internet will tell you I still call them out on their shit and their mistakes. With the Rocket situation my PERSONAL opinion (not my professional one) is that it was way out of control but I think both sides contributed to it. For example I can see why Rocket got to the point he did because in the video evidence I've seen of the situation there's obviously 5 people who are or are closely linked to FUMUKU all arguing their case.

Do I think FUMUKU were in the wrong though? No I think the situation could have been resolved by using our HR team and I don't think the roleplay should have been stopped and equally I think the end result could have been different but I can understand Rockets reasons.

In regards to @s Overlewd is dead right. Basically we get an average at peak of 5-15 @s a minute. Now they don't pile up in a nice line like would be nice. They just blend with the rest of the chat at light speed. So chances are If I'm dealing with something (another @ usually) and a less important @ comes in that could be dealt with later or perhaps even a PR chances are I'll ignore it. Obviously as many of you have seen I've been going hard at it on my car dealer RP this week too and as such sometimes I have deals in doing whilst a couple of @s come in. If they're urgent I'll always TP but a lot of the time I make a note to investigate in 2 minutes once I've finished a transaction.

We are still human btw, just cos we're admins doesn't mean we have any training whatsoever past that first 5 mins on a roof with enzyme blowing you up.

Just remembered something, I was talking about @ calls and how they get responded fast due to TS. One of the TS rules are this

Quote:-Do not use the TeamSpeak as another form of @ request.

So boys, how can you explain this one?

Easy, that rule is there to prevent people from jumping into channels and/or poking/messaging staff with their @ calls, because that would be annoying and also probably quite ineffective compared to making @ calls.

Why are you trying so hard to find problems in places where there aren't any?

I'm not.

(Feb 24, 2018, 03:44 PM)IVNT Wrote: I want something done about this bias tbh, so do a lot of people. Also, to add onto this, something needs to be done about staff and their friends. They get treated better when they're talking over voice chat with them, @ calls will be responded to faster and what they want will be done quicker.

We send @ calls and have to wait atleast 5-10mins, people like Barkles do it a fair bit.

@ calls are the bane of my existence on this server (except when they're not, it's not always terrible)

My problem is that I've seen some @ calls not responded to at all while people who are in TS with staff will get their calls handled. Again, that's not necessarily bias (there are a bunch of reasons staff couldn't respond), but at least an acknowledgement of the @ call would be nice, even if it is just "hold on a bit, I have a bunch of stuff to take care of first". What annoys me is I feel like in the majority of cases the call is either responded to very quickly and cordially or not at all. That's my personal experience though, I don't know how others have fared.
