Especially in Rockford where the city is surrounded by the county roads, the trucks can bypass downtown and just hit the warehouses and the Industrial area.

v33x would be more of a stretch, not as much road. Still doable but man, downtown would be a nightmare with trucks.

Oh I'd love to see them. Might hand in my fire helmet for a trucker's hat if that happens.

Rockford is a great map for is, especially v2.

Well if you and other people desire me to make a quick video of me driving on every road on v33x, then that can easily be done. I drove around the other day and it was fine.
Do it! I want to see!
Possible to make this a Poll suggestion?
Having screwed around with Semis in single player, I have a few problems...

1: The turning circle. Trucks need a HUGE space to make turns, and if there is anything more than a little bit of traffic in some areas, bring a truck and trailer in is a disaster waiting to happen.

2: The height- If I drove through the Rockford downtown area, I'd clip the traffic lights with my loaded trailers. The only way to get through would be to cross over into oncoming traffic to barely clear the light. I'm sure there are other areas where the tall trucks would cause problems.

3: Hills- A semi struggles to pull a load up the hills in Rockford, anything more than a few cars worth of weight and the truck can't even make it up with a running start. (Tested with LW, TDM, and SGM trucks)
No such thing as low range when they code for their trucks?

Well I mean making a U-Turn in the forest isn't the best idea. Although on v33x You have plenty of space to move and turn around.

Rockford? Well with a custom handing data I am sure this could be solved? Not sure but I am sure a custom script that if a vehicle in on the trailer then the truck will be sped up slightly possibly?

Not trying to make it sound like there is every way around this but I am sure there are a few.

I think Rock could come up with something in regard to a truck's characteristics and tweak with some functions, I mean he IS a truck driver in real life after all.
My main concern is the sheer size, in my runs (Using a Peterbilt 379 with a loaded car carrier) it was extremely difficult to make right hand turns without either smashing the trailer into something or taking up an excessive amount of the oncoming lane, which would cause problems with even the smallest amount of traffic.

It's less a problem of handling and more of size.

Moonlighting obviously
The trucks arent the problem , i can do their handling and power scripts easly , i do belive u can use a truck easy in evo and rockford , in real life i have pass places more smaller then the cities like v33x and i had no problem at all , it all resume to your skill

I've got a decent amount of skill in sims and whatnot, and cannot negotiate some corners without taking up the whole road. The controls in GMod aren't suited for precision driving.

And when you factor in people with less skill than someone like me, it just seems like a recipe for disaster

The thing is though IRL you can't always stay in the same lane. Even wit bus, sometimes it will drive into the other lane. That is why a Scania would fit the best for the server as it hasn't got a long nose.
