It's been requested to me by a lot of players over the past 24 hours, so here it is. It's another version of the suburban just for firefighters, though as it's designed as more of a command vehicle for large fire roleplays it doesn't let you refill your fire extinguisher; we still want to see actual fire engines, hence the restriction.

Also, it's the first test of our new job-based commendation system. You'll need two fireman commendations in order to purchase and use this. We're not sure about the number yet, so it may go down to one or even go higher, but admins have decided to be a little more liberal with commendations than they were in the past with points, as this system is now job-specific.

I think the lights should be White and Orange. Red and Blue doesn't fit the theme in my own opinion.
Loving the latest updates keep up the good work developing team!

You can't tell him what to do!!!
Looks nice. Is there anyway we will get a Suburban for Police as well (since the modeel is already in).  A Tahoe would be good as well. I´d just love to have a police SUV since all other government agencys have updated or added vehicles avaible it would be very nice to see some more police variety as well.
Also the SUVs do have a slightly nicer interior and Lighting system. (BTW if you cant update the Vic to a tdm car try sgm ( and improved interior that fits on the very same modell we use right now)

very sure i saw that colour on an ambulance in lanzarote
sorry this is america
Allowed to patrol? Fire chiefs drive around in my city. Awesome work by the way, so happy to see focus on the firefighters on LL
Now that I've field tested the vehicle.

Love it!  I plan to use it when there are other firefighters.  If solo I will still use the Fire Engine for realism (unless I get robbed a lot).

The engine sounds strange though.  And I miss having the blaring horn that the Fire Engine and Crown Vics have.  Also I noticed when you attempt to /resupply with it, it tells me only SS can do that.

Other than that, love it!
Wulf, I better see you do some Chief RP and check out local businesses for fire hazards and such.  Wink
Great update as usual.

Since the crime has gone up I haven't done that in awhile.  I like it.  I need to get back into that.  I'll do it on a good business day.
I think the lights on it should be red/white not red/blue but I guess that's personal preference.

Also, the lightheads shouldn't be colored Sad

The colored lights are just a bodygroup that can be changed (should not be the lightsrb by default IMO)

As for the color of the emergency lights- In the city I attended College, the Fire Engines had Red/White lights, while the ambulances and the Chief's command Suburbans used Red/Blue (In fact, the Command Suburban light layout looked a lot like this one)

However in my current city, all the Fire Trucks, Fire Engines, and Command Expeditions all rock red/blue lights. (And Ambulances are run by AMR and use red/blue)
Great work!
The vehicle currently won't allow firemen to resupply, purely because we don't want to see firemen using only the Suburban; the fire engine has its purpose, and in reality a Chief's vehicle wouldn't carry water (I don't think).

The lights are red/blue because it shares the model with the SS version, and VCModELS differentiates vehicles by model name. I could create a brand new model so that I could modify VCMod to use different coloured lights, but considering many Fire Chief vehicles IRL do use red/blue I don't think it's worth the additional file-size and development time - we have a nice new update on the way for you soon so I'd rather focus on that.

How do you guys like the new commendation system? We figured that by asking for lower 'point' numbers but making them job-specific would mean that players who enjoy doing one specific job can get that job's items and rewards quicker than by way of the old system.
