I completely agree with you.  The Fire Engine should be the primary vehicle while the Suburban can be used as a Recon vehicle of sorts, first on the scene to setup cones and road blocks and determine the extent of the fire.  So yes, it would not carry water, just a basic extinguisher and medical supplies.

I think the lights are fine.  If a new model is required to change the lights... I don't think it would be worth it overall.

I like the commendations, course since all I do is fire I might be a bit jaded, I've already made about 5 points in the firefighter job.  To me, having job specific points would allow for some perks that dedicated players to the role could use to achieve perks, such as the Suburban for the Firefighter.

As for the color of the emergency lights- In the city I attended College, the Fire Engines had Red/White lights, while the ambulances and the Chief's command Suburbans used Red/Blue (In fact, the Command Suburban light layout looked a lot like this one)

However in my current city, all the Fire Trucks, Fire Engines, and Command Expeditions all rock red/blue lights. (And Ambulances are run by AMR and use red/blue)

Good to know they can be easily changed.
I know that many different areas use red/blue on their fire vehicles as well I guess it's just personal preference because my hometown uses red/white. Not really a big deal not even sure why I mentioned it in retrospect.
I would like to clarify my previous statements-
Because I was not entirely clear.

The physical model of the emergency lights on in the front windshield, on the front bumper, on the running boards, and under the rear spoiler have red/blue lenses over the LEDs. These models can be changed to clear lenses over the LEDs, which looks much cleaner IMO. This has no affect on the color of the lights when they are activated.

Even if the default for those lights models isn't set to the clear lenses, anyone who finds an admin willing to modify the vehicle can change it those parts. (I already got my SS Suburban decked out, looks SIIIIIIIICK!)
Looks pretty cool!
