Suggestion for <in-game/forum/teamspeak etc.>
In-game.
Job "leaders" should be able to have a command that enables them to demote themselves and promote another person simultaneously.
In detail, explain your suggestion:
Add a command (e.g /swap "ID"), which can be used by a faction leader, that asks the player whether they want to be promoted to a certain position in place of the player who used this command. For example, if the Police Sergeant uses this command on a police officer, the police officer will be asked "*Name* offers you to become the new Police Sergeant. /accept to accept, /decline to decline." If they accept, the current police sergeant is demoted to police officer, and the accepting person is promoted to police sergeant. The same will be applied to Don Corleone and his mafia members, Rebel leader and his rebels, and the SWAT Sergeant and his SWAT Units. The president will be able to use this command to trade places with the Vice President only.
(Whether SWAT and Police members should be allowed to trade places between eachother using this method is debatable as it may lead to powergaming during raids, so I have not included that as part of the suggestion)
Why should this be implemented?
There are times when a faction leader wants to voluntarily step down from being the leader, but risks having their job spot taken or having the wrong member take the leader spot if they change job to citizen in order to allow another member to become leader. This command will allow them to trade leader position safely.
This also enables the mafia and rebels to RP (if they wish to do so) selecting a new leader when the old one dies and the team is full.
