The ingame money system may be changed.
We're looking into various sponsors meaning we'll be doing a big cash prizedraw instead.
but either way you have big hard man ghostkiller over here with his crownies waving their mopeds around going "i'm global elite"
can we face the fact they want to make their ego bigger?
[/quote]
And probably boosted like majority, not mentioning he's a tryhard LL hater - not even neutral, what kind of bs is that?
Cash wouldn't be a good option, since the teams are already out of mind...
Also, hackers, people will hack if it's not virtual money to be honest...
I'd rather keep this friendly IG money

eh, i'm fine with having in game money and some skins thrown in, makes it so the bigger csgo players have something to look forwards to

IG money and a few cheeky skins but that's it IMO
Please calm down lol.
a) People complaining about their ranks, they'll be put in a group according to that so everyone has a fair chance, but we can't exclude people because they're a higher team.
b) We've had a few partners reach out to us and would support a cash/skin prizepool, which is why we've opened it to anyone to enter as a lot of people (like ghost) play here but their team doesn't. I mean heck, that'd mean I couldn't even enter my team as Link, Zan and Tobias don't play on LL.
c) Opening it up allows us to let more people into the community and actually expand into different areas, you need to remember we don't always want to be a GMod community.
d) This event isn't fully a LimeLight event in prospective, we've decided it'll be under LimeLight's name but it's a CS:GO Series and therefore it's not just locked to LimeLight. I don't see why we would lock a CS:GO event to a GMod Server (as in, why limit it to our GMod players, we have remembers who browse the forums but not play GMod. We're also as stated considering moving it to a cash pool which means it isn't anything to do with GMod. If we did that there would be no IG money and ofc quite a large prize pool (well, not huge but in the hundreds))

No one cares for the prize. People want to play with other COMMUNITY MEMBERS whilst the servers are down. Simple as that.
As for Zan and Tobias they both openly support LL and do not slate it every chance they get.

The prize is an insentive to try and motivation. We understand the main goal is to bring the community together, but why don't we want other people to join in? It creates huge publicity for LL being plastered all over reddit and expands the community into brand new areas.
This is for the community. It is not an advert.

I'm with general, as the title says "
LimeLightGaming Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Open Series" this should stay community only!
I'm all for having a community tournament, we're getting bored of not having the servers around. But this is just spiraling into an advert for servers that aren't even running. Don't take this the wrong way wood but if you're trying to use this tournament by opening it up to anyone as an advert for Avalanche it just shows it's becoming more of a moneygrabbing scheme than something for community morale.
A community tournament would be much beter than an open one as people are going to be more friendly to members of their own community rather than outsiders who are only in it to gloat that they're better than the host community and for the money that they can make off winning skins.

Your points are always valued and considered, thank you for letting us know your concerns.
I have created a poll here, as it is correct this was set up so community members could play with one another whilst the servers are down. Hence, as Jordy pointed out, the title "
LimeLightGaming Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Open Series".
We have to remember our morals here and what we stand for. This tournament is under LimeLight's name therefore that shall be respected and thus this poll was created because we do value community input, even if the majority goes against our points mentioned here, it will be respected and followed through accordingly.
