I had an idea mid-way through making a few things, and so decided to take a crack at it.
Seeing as I suggested Player Cosmetics, why not have weapon skins thrown in to the mix too? So I'm gonna add that as a sub-suggestion: Market Bought weapon skins (Possibly even sold by gun dealers? Idk.) that could serve RP Reasons, or just be for style.
For now, I decided I'd post 4 Knife skins. Probably will do more tomorrow though.
Corporate Gold
A golden opportunity to make a quick killing.
The Regal Cutlass
An ornamental sword, but make no mistake, looks can kill.
The Pudge's Grudge
A meat cleaver, taken right from the butcher's counter. Perfect for chopping meat, be it alive or dead.
The Executioner's Doctrine
Everything is False, Nothing is restricted.
(Last one was a semi-joke, as something like that could be made, but I'd do something original.)

You could, however the file sizes for a new weapon would probably be a little bigger. Each of these is only around 2-3kb. (Correct me if I'm wrong here, I am not entirely sure how big a new SWEP for each skin would be)
That and the fact that a couple of these are made from several props already in Gmod (CS:S Stuff, HL2 stuff, and some L2 content):
-The Gold Knife is two CS:S Knives, with re-textures. Both use model/shiny, however the blade is tinted gold, and the handle is tinted grey.
-The cutlass, for example, uses a gmod dome prop and the ASP Baton for the handle, and an elongated CS:S Knife, re-textured, for the blade. All of it is managed within the addon, so no extra .mdl files are needed.
-The butcher blade is a prop from HL2, re-sized to fit the proportions of the Gmod player model's hand.
Etc etc.
What might be a good idea, is instead of including the entire addon on the server, write an interpreter. Something that can read the PAC3 files and re-creates the outfit accordingly. Would require less effort in the long run, for sure.

However, many people would abuse this and put random stuff on their model, so a rule must be set.
