Suggestion Make JailRP More Immersive

In detail, explain your suggestion: Currently, when someone commits a crime, things are very basic. Its Stopped > Handcuffed > Warranted > Arrested > 5 Mins > Freed. Its not realistic, its not immersive and most importantly it isnt a deterrent for committing crimes. Why pay a fine when you can afk for 5 or 10 mins to grab a snack and then get right back to it?
Instead of simply imposing longer sentence times (which are a part of this suggestion), JailRP itself should consist of more than having prisoners sit in a cell. There are shower rooms and a cafeteria that never get used as well as a courtroom that's only ever used as a hiding spot in raids. We should use these places to make JailRP a part of the gamemode instead of just somewhere people sit and complain in OOC for 'unfair arrests' and such.
  • Prison sentences are elongated to a minimum of 10 minutes, with a max of, say, 20
  • Jail guards, whether they be an actual job, police officers using /job or an outsourced firm, regulate prisoners, keep them on schedule (like, Cells, Freetime, Lunch, Showertime, Education etc.), quell riots using non-lethal means etc.
  • Prisoners can contest their arrests through the courtroom, with parole hearings and court sentences. Citizens can be used as jury's and reporters can film the events. Death sentences can be handed out for murders or 'unpatriotic acts' (aka dictators).
  • People can visit friends and relatives in the jails, riots could break out, jail breaks can occur, prison gangs could start; a bit optimistic but i'm just listing what could happen, not what i expect

Why should this be implemented? The Jail process is very automated, robotic and external. People don't feel the consequences because they just teleport in and out, having sat about for a while. This update to JailRP could be combined with an update to the arrest processing, eliminating the teleportation and having police officers manually arrest, escort, process and free prisoners themselves. Everything becomes a lot more realistic and things like DirtycopRP and SnitchRP and CourtRP could gain alot more depth.
Yes, the automated process is quick and easy, but it isn't realistic. Yes, we don't need everything to mimic life, but something like this would really improve RP on the server. It means more work for the police force, but thats not necessarily a terrible thing.

I'd love to hear criticisms and improvements and such as you + or - Support; just please keep everything friendly, no one wins if an argument breaks out
If you don't want to provide a reason for you + or -, thats fine, thanking for showing your decision anyway

I agree with the jail guard bit and the visits bit. For that, +support

Was discussed in the teamspeak this morning how people dislike been teleported etc, but if we add the escorting to jails we have to add dragging players etc.

The jails is one of the most neglected areas when it comes to RP and really needs to see an improvement.
+ Support. I'd love to have a proper, fleshed out prison RP.

I would see this work so +support for the visit & jobs.

For the court sitting however I'd say that 10 minuten or 20 minutes even won't be long for a proper RP. I mean setting it up would atleast take a good 2-5 minutes so -support if maximum jail time is 20.

This does sound nice and all but it would take a lot more than 10-20 minutes for there to be this kind of RP background. I mean, a state prison RP event on a certain community containing the CityRP gamemode lasted 7 hours and despite this there was only one prominent gang and 2 riots, then a prison-wide breakout after someone gained entry to the control room by a small fault from the guard team.

I mean, it's nice and all when a group of people decide to set this up but it's a -support for this to be added as a full feature.
