The Ruler Tool lets you measure distances in-game in several measurement units including:1 - units
2 - inches
3 - meters
4 - kilometres
5 - millimetres
6 - centimetres
7 - feet/foot/ft
8 - yards
9 - miles
10 - decimetres
Why?:
I believe this tool will help players during not only building, but also during roleplay
(e.g. /me gets out ruler to measure distance between corpse and bullet casing).

Honestly given the fact that we already have the measurement tool i dont really see much need for this. Measuring milimiters, inches or miles is relatively pointless on a gmod map.as you wont be precise enough in its appliaction. Sure feet/meters are nicer for rp use but its rarely used anyay. Mmainly as a reference tool for building, where the unit doesnt matter as long as its consistent. And phx units are already somenwat close to feet so for my rp situations needing measurements i just used phx as an equivalent..
This could be nice but i just dont see much of a beed/improvement
