One thing I'm mega confused about is the fact that the people saying it's a p2w mechanic have the legacy cars which most are bs to get in a chase with. They paid idk how much to get more trading cards with money packs to get the speedy car that causes an unfair advantage to police officers with a horse carriage. Weird rite, it confuses me a lot. Because getting tinnie winnie more exp when you get that fish is more p2w and more of an advantage than getting a fast as frick car that'll be valued millions

Because this time they’re not the ones in the advantage so suddenly it’s unfair.

You realise the Xmas Presents were free right? Where a lot of the current legacy cars were found.

There will always be some paid elements, as without incentive we don't have the backing to support server and development costs. Given these costs and the amount of effort put into development for very little money, you're all getting an incredibly cheap (and almost entirely free) service.
Our finances are steady but income is still slowly decreasing. Moneypacks - probably the greatest P2W element on the server - are the main thing that keep us afloat. And with it having become noticeably easier, or at least less necessary, to get rich on the server moneypack purchases have also decreased, normalised for player count.
The best solution is of course increasing player count, but while we do work towards this it's largely out of our control, and we can only influence it with updates or events. As such, we have to make up the remainder in other ways - and while the Discord bonus doesn't give us any profit, it is a nice thing to do for the channel but there's no way we can justify paying for it ourselves. A small bonus is at least a nice gesture to thank people who choose to boost.
It also really is a small bonus. We already have a skills bonus that can be triggered by staff for events or certain days which can be significantly greater. The incoming referral system has greater bonuses. We want to add a variety of things that influence skills as new ones get added, and nearly all of those will probably be greater than this.
P2W is of course something we'll have to tackle carefully and do our best to avoid, as we figure out how to tackle slowing income while supporting the development we need to improve and fix the server. We've got a variety of ideas and absolutely want to avoid anything that directly impacts combat/raids, but it's definitely something we'll consult you about. We'll probably hold more of those public consultations with some constructive community members again.

I'm more mega confused now because I talked about trading cards and you are talking about Xmas presents, do you mean to say that if we give the 5% boost for free during events after like how many years, it'd be a-okay? Oh I said that in my second post in this thread counting the op, stating we have plans to implement same boosts without requiring any pay. So confuzzled idk what is what at dis point omg
