Idea: Lower the prices of retail shops along Railway Avenue by about $100 a day
Why?: The prices are ridiculously high, about $250 a day for a 7x3 room with no back room. On Rockford, you'd be paying half that easily, for a room way larger. Why should we have a sudden price hike on shops, killing passiveRP amongst poorer players? The shops aren't allowed to be used as bases anyway, so why make them so expensive?
The really small ones? If so then yeah, current price would be too high
In general, most renting prices are way too high.
350$/5 minutes for renting the bank. This destroys passive RP.
maybe development time should go towards adding meaning to passive RP businesses
which means adding more purpose to running a business than just pointless /mes and selling items anyone can get themselves when they play as that job

I mean we're open to suggestions on things we can add to help with actual shop businesses.
That aside, I still think they're way too expensive so +support

Wiremod
https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-20894.html
Enables a number of different player-developed technologies/contraptions that can be used for a never ending amount of RP scenarios. Suggestion details what needs to be removed to prevent abuse. The Advanced Duplication market needs an update and this would certainly be just that. Imagine residential properties that also had pre-installed security systems, automated doors, etcetera. The player-market would skyrocket from this mod being added in. I could see intellectual property stemming from this more than anything and potentially the creation of law/legal entities in the clan section.
Small Business Update
https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-16858.html
Number of different additions to PassiveRP including prop-assets that make setting up shop easier for low and high hour players. Models properly categorized into spawnlists for their respective use.
Oil Update:
https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-7925.html (Oil, Dynamic Petrol Prices)
System where players are able to invest in machinery to extract oil, this oil is then processed and sold to an NPC that stores this information and depending on the amount of inventory - fluctuates the price of gasoline in the market and changing the price at the gas station to show this. Users can purchase empty petrol cans of different sizes, 10%/25%/50% that they can fill and sell directly to players. Creates a player market, can possibly tie into the stocks of Goodwill Oil.
Wholesale Manufacturing
https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-9407.html
Investment into different schematics for different items that allows the user to spawn larger quantities of an item with standard cool-down timers of 30 seconds. Created a way for players/businesses to invest in methods that would allow them to have market edge by being able to produce items faster and potentially be able to sell in larger quantities in-game or on a forum marketplace thread.
Personally, I felt like this would've been more beneficial to PassiveRP businesses than just the drastic reduction of the cool-down timers.
Remove Chinese Food
https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-17083.html
The issue with Chinese Food is that for $1,000 you can have (5) items that replenished more than half of your hunger. This results in serious issues in the sense that people are able to afford quality food at $200 per item and this in itself becomes a factor when determining the 'market value' of a resource such as fish that is collected by players and actually takes some work into it. It prevents a true value that is being formed from supply and demand.
Skill System
https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-9779.html
Just a necessary aspect to creating a sense of progression in a game and also becomes a factor when you are a business owner or clan owner looking to hire/recruit someone.
LimeOS
https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-12045.html
Online network that is web-based and has access to an in-game chatroom, username/anonymity optional, calculator (useful for businesses), access to a simple notepad, access to the DarkNet where blackmarket sales are advertised since using /advert for that kind of thing is FailRP.
Fishing Update
https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-24235.html
Very important to bring back value to the fish market and also ties into the need to remove other more accessible forms of food (Chinese Food)
Simple Cooking Update
https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-24276.html
Creates a way to cook food in a very simple way that doesn't require much additional coding - enables individuals and businesses to actually run restaurants that serve more purpose than just being a cesspool of RP /me's and make pretend play-house.
Clan and Business Accounts
https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-24274.html
Create a way to enable clans and businesses to store, deposit and withdraw money into their own account. Provide logs, etcetera. Useful when operating a business that has multiple employees and that are potentially on different time zones. Company funds used as a line of credit for inventory, rent, etc. Could tie into the ECSE and be one of many indicators of clan/business value.
In the case of this suggestion I think that money from clan/business accounts should go directly toward rent. If the clan/business account doesn't have sufficient funds, it'll give you an eviction notice/warning.
I personally think the price is fair considering what is important in running a business. Location, location, location. You don't see many small business stores IRL being able to afford rent in high-traffic shopping areas. You're either going to need to figure out how to afford the rent of this location or expand your business to increase revenue across the board and to be able to afford the cost of rent in a high-traffic and high-visibility area.
Additionally I think the same thing can be achieved by simply relating the cost of rent in certain locations based on the player-count. The cost of a shop on main street should be higher during peak times.
+support i had a store and i was paying for a tiny little store $250 everytime i lost more money then what i earned...
