This is a simple suggestion that I came up with whilst playing on Rockford recently.
You know how if you go to do a bus route RP, but you can't draw a route on the map? That's a pain in the backside for me, since memorising a route off-by-heart is difficult.
Behold, the MapDraw is here to save the day.
This can be implemented in two ways:
a) You can have waypoints placed on the map (i.e you click your start and your finish and it'll automatically give you a route to follow, and the route appears on your minimap as a simple line on the road whilst you appear as an arrow on the minimap and big map). This is, essentially, a sat-nav mod implemented like this. This is the option I personally would prefer
or
b) Have the user be able to draw on the map. This is pretty straightforward to explain; just give the user some colours, some tools and away he draws. Again, being displayed on the minimap too, to avoid the need of opening and closing the map.
I don't know how these would be implemented from a development standpoint, since I am mostly about hardware development and know print("nothing" + str(0)) about coding at the moment, but I'm sure you crack-wizz developers can think of something.
If you're very clever, you could implement a system that alerts a chauffer of someone's location, then allows them to pick a user to accept a ride to, notify the user that the taxi is coming, then it draws a route for the taxi to follow to get to the passenger, then it guides the taxi to the location requested!
But I'm getting a bit ahead of myself with these suggestions, and I know you have better things to do, but they're just suggestions for a rainy day.
My second suggestion (which really goes in conjunction with the first suggestion) is to add a minimap, but one that can be toggled on and off using /minimap or something. I miss not having a minimap and having to constantly stop, do /map and set off again; it would make RP more fluid and natural-feeling, especially with taxis and things.
I think this feature should be implemented because a) it *should* be simple enough to not break anything else, b) it'll make navigation for people, new and old, much easier, and c) it would make the RP experience more realistic, since you don't have a paper map just so you can't draw on it.
