I also bring it up since it was planned at one time to slim down the number of vehicles on the server due to what I believe was memory issues (Poll results showed Crown Vic had lowest usage rate by a lot). Essentially Gmod servers have a hard limit for the number of various models they can support and vehicles tend to take up the most memory due to their number of polys. The last time I saw it brought up Burnett mentioned the server was nearing its max but I'm unsure if it's causing server issues yet or not.

I guess it is used the least because it sucks in its current state. With a proper buff, it would surely be used a lot more.

‍ The key reason why people don't use the Crown Vic is that it has absolute shit handling and acceleration. The poor thing is absolutely mistreated on a development standpoint also, such as some skins missing/fucked up or the piss-poor acceleration.

I think the low usage of the Crown Vic was mostly contributed by it's low acceleration and handling at a higher speed. I do agree that, sadly enough it's fact, the Crown Vic is being phased out of today's departments. However, since we can't really ask for different vehicles and only to re-purpose existing vehicles and/or make changes to the existing vehicles, I do believe this would solve the issue of what could be a great in-game vehicle.

That, and the fact that all skins would be a possibility on it. Most supervisors aren't allowing their officers to drive the Crown Vic simply because it doesn't include the skins SirWulf made.

Maybe since the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor can't actually intercept anything right now.

And people wonder why I resigned as a dev here.
Go back and reread my second point which is much more than just "people don't use it that much right now". It was regarding an issue that to this day hasn't been addressed and will probably have to be addressed at some point.

Uhmmm what?

If you mean it's a Chevy, yeah no I know.
‍ The stats, like everyone has said, are because it handles like utter dogshite, drives like utter dogshite, and can't make iy up a hill. If it was given dev support and buffed, it would be used FAR more.

I know exactly why you resigned as a dev. Regardless, I understand that the source engine can only handle so much before having a shitfit, but I believe that the current load of vehicles is permittable. If it comes down to the point that we need to remove some vehicles, then so be it. Statistics can be gathered on the usage of certain inventory items, i.e. vehicles. I would think some civilian vehicles would be removed before any of the five police vehicles are touched.

Back to the topic, the Crown Vic would be used much more often if the handling was fixed and the vehicle skins were restored to match the rest of the vehicles. It seems like that vehicle is always forgotten by the development team, therefore causing it to be unpleasurable and unwanted.
Although i dont really use it i feel bad for cops who chase me in that as there's a %0.1 of catching anyone
